Hi - my name is Stuart and I'm a mature ( OK - read "old" :-) ) amateur photographer. Amateur - but quite experienced - been photographing since a Praktica Nova was a cool camera to have - and been through the doing my own B&W processing / printing and eventually E-6 and cibachrome stuff. Worked in the trade for a little while - until photographing motorcycle racing got me into real trouble and I spent a dozen years in the sport :-)

Nikon man in my early days, migrating to Canon reluctantly initially for cost reasons. Slow to trust autofocus (bit of a sharpness fiend) and pretty slow to move to digital - but migrated the day the 20D became available (still think that was an Outstanding camera - bit of a modern classic IMHO).

Most of these years of experience have been applied to sports photography - mainly motorsports - and my other passion, which is modern architecture.

Want to have a serious go at studio work "before I die" as they say... Particular areas of interest being :- portraiture, glamour, lingerie, fine art nude (particularly the rather abstract light and shadow 'bodyscapes' for want of a better term) - would be interested in photographing body painting / extreme makeup ~ but I haven't met any suitably crazy MUAs as yet :-)

Looking to hook up with models and MUAs who are up for working with an old amateur - hopefully to the benefit of both our folios. Happy to pay modest modelling fees to more experienced models ~ but note modest - I am an amateur :-) If there's an image you want to put in your folio - I am up for trying - even if it's not in my "areas of interest" - always up for a challenge :-)
