It was my first shoot with John and many more to come I hope with this amazing man, We shot at Two Wei Location House Studio and I couldn't have met a nicer man.

John was extremely professional from the start. We walked around the studio gardens to where it would be best to shoot on this very hot sunny day, he talked me through his ideas and best places to shoot, John always throughout the whole day made sure I was comfortable 1st and foremost! I can't stress how much easier this made our shoot, it felt more like a catch up with a friend and that we'd shot before! Not only is John extremely warm and hospitable he's fantastic at what he does, a true artist, his eye for detail and endless ideas as you can see by his amazing work. It was nothing short of a pleasure to work with John Thankyou so much.

I would happily recommend John to anyone and would definitely jump at the chance to work with him again

Mike is very pleasant to get along with and brings along an upbeat positive vibe, plus respectful of the studio spaces and facilities on offer. I liked the sound of his concepts and would be interested to view any images that he may upload to PP.

John arrived at the studio with his multiple camera set ups and it was interesting to see what he was going to do!

With software that he has developed himself and camera rigs to fine adjust each camera on a tripod he shoots two cameras at the same time and creates a 3d image that come out looking so different to anything I have seen in the studio before. all the time he informs the model what he is shooting and how it works and was respectful also.

Happy to recommend and hope to see him back again soon

I am very happy to have my first shoot with John ! The shoot time is very nice and make me feel relaxed! John get two camera shoot me at the same time and is a very new idea to me ! I am happy we get many interesting images in the end ! John is a very knowledgeable photographer ! Highly recommended would love to work again !

John booked me for an hour during my studio day at studio fifty-eight in Kettering.

John was evident on the pre comms of what he was looking to shoot which was a theme inspired by the ancient greeks.

John booked me for a full day during my recent UK tour. And what a day we had!

Pre-shoot comms were great, John sent me lots of ideas and locations before the shoot and was kind enough to pick me up and bring me back to where I was staying.

We shot 3 sets in different locations and I am really excited with the results I have seen so far.

John has many interesting stories to tell and a great deal of knowledge on various topics. Our conversation was very interesting!

I'm looking forward to see you in Ireland John!

A disgracefully late reference which I must stress has no reflection on the quality of this shoot, but rather 2022 being a topsy-turvy year on my side for a number of reasons! I'm slowly getting there and thus dishing out the credit so rightfully deserved to the people I shot with - John was one of those people and I cannot say enough good things about him. 😊

We had our first shoot at Aura studio when I was due to be working there whilst on tour. John and I had actually been in touch before and discussing Re: "a shoot" were underway... It was just a case of nailing the right and and opportunity. This, ladies and gents, was that very opportunity! What a uniquely inspired shoot it was too. 😀 It's really hard to encounter a shoot theme that you have not yet done when you have been modelling full time for so many years. It's just the way it is because many themes and shoot styles are executed by many photographers, and studios alike over and over because they just work. It's near impossible in fact to come up with something new or even outside the box... Even if an idea comes from the core of your brain. 😅 That said - hands down to John because he actually came to me with a concept that I had genuinely never seen before! And it took me a few minutes to actually grasp it myself... Being reminded of the "Magic Eye" trick from years ago was what did it! Such a cool take on artistic model photography which is refreshing to see. 👏

John's communications were perfect:- I was in the midst of organising an entire tour at the time, and several shoots during which I had to coordinate to fit into Aura based on lots of different photographers availability. As such, I really do appreciate John getting back to me efficiently and communicating clearly with all things to do with the shoot and our plans going forward. No tennis emails, no confusion... He was very easy to talk to and that paved the way to look forward to a highly pleasant shoot which then focussed on building a nice rapport and turning that initial inspired project into something real from our shooting time.

The light on the day was just amazing; we struck gold with the sunshine which really gave an extra bit of "pop" in the images. One set that we did in the golden light totally went down the abstract route to play with the shadows and contrast further - Having since seen some of the finished images in the presentation relevant to the project I can confirm with honesty that they looked bloody epic! Twists/turns and somewhat obscure shapes totally adding to that visual illusion theme we bought into. But then we also covered a more soft and "gentile" set of looks as well... Shots which harboured emotion and the more personal touch I guess. It was really incredible how quite polar opposite looks still worked with the idea that John had put together. Uber cool I'm telling you! It's just very fulfilling to see a fellow creative come to you with something that they are really full of enthusiasm over, and then watching it develop and come together as the photo shooting bounce initiates with suggestions and brainwaves being added to the mix as you're well into the creation zone. A fun shoot, very rewarding and so nice to meet such a lovely photographer who really did put thought into achieving something different. 🙌

It is also worth noting that John's professionalism was on-pointe. 😊 He is a genuine person with a genuine approach, I felt that as we got working we both got into a definite sense of ease and feeling comfortable working together. He has beautiful manners and endless courtesy to offer the people he works with. As such I can most certainly vouch for him based on my shoot with this lovely gent.

I would wholeheartedly love the chance to work with John again in the future! Thank you so much for a superb couple of hours.

What a fun, creative shoot!

This man has no end of talents (literally, i learnt soooo much from him) and had an absolute blast doing so!

Great pre-shoot comms, we shot on location, with lovely weather. It was good fun exploring and John brought props/accessories with him too.

Our shoot was really unusual and so different to other shoots (which makes its so interesting). Happy to recommend!

He let me know all his ideas before the shoot and what he wanted to create.

John was friendly, professional and had a great sense of humour. We got on straight away and I really enjoyed shooting with him.

I have collaborated with John many times and in many ways over the years and have only just realised that I have never actually left him a reference. John first photographed me in 2012 and since then we have developed what I can only describe as a zany, project-based friendship. We're not so much photographer and model as experimental subject and mad scientist! We've been on adventures ranging from icy winter lakes in Iceland to rocky Norwegian island landscapes and our latest fun experiment was a remote shoot with the magic of mirrors. When recommending John to other creatives, I would say that he is quite unlike any other photographer I've worked with - uniquely inventive, enthusiastic and technical. We're already planning our next project, and I look forward to many more!

So we've now had our second shoot together but this time nice and early on location. You were a joy to be with throughout the shoot (apart from losing but not actually losing your car keys), always checking that I was OK and you're actually really funny.

Had a great short but sweet shoot with John last week on my Cambridge tour . John is very clear and precise in his communications and shoot brief . This was great as I knew what was expected on the shoot and we were able to get through the sets in the time given as well as some bonus sets . I got to do my own thing at the end which was great :D John is a very interesting person and very friendly . It was a different shoot from those `I have done before but it was different in a good way it was interesting and indeed a good laugh . Thanks for a lovley shoot :)

I worked with the lovely John a few weeks back in Suffolk. We went to the local park and covered quite an unusual style of modelling which was completely candid, I loved it!

John is interesting, intelligent, warm, friendly and makes great conversation.

I was lucky enough to receive some stunning art work from him also.

I had a second shoot with John on my recent visit to Cambridgeshire. . . His pre-shoot communication is always great, as he very particular ideas which are somewhat unique, I always enjoy the challenge and themes of Johns shoot and we cover a lot in the three hours he booked. Its a totally different shooting experience, requested minimal/no makeup he isn't looking for beauty shoots, but very human and natural in style. Its exceedingly enjoyable to work with someone with a well thought out and revised plan, with a purpose. Highly recommended

Had the absolute pleasure of shooting with John recently. Pre communications was impeccable, John was friendly, easy going and made sure at all times that I was comfortable.

Before the shoot took place John discussed his ideas with me and I knew exactly what to bring and the style we would be shooting.

Whist shooting although we had a set theme I was allowed to pose freely and we managed to collaborate in order to produce the best results.

Really enjoyed my shoot with John and I hope it was not last. definitely recommended!!

I worked with John for the first time both on location, doing some headshots, and in the studio working up to art nude. John's pre-shoot comms were great so I knew what to expect from the shoot and he told me about his ideas in depth. John was professional on the shoot and easy to get along with. He made sure I was comfortable and not too cold. He also very kindly gave me a lift home afterwards. I recommend John to other models and hope to work with him again :)
