References for Toulouki Orsini Retouching

Just spent another fantastic day with Toulouki. This time she was providing some (much needed) 1-2-1 retouching tuition.

I know there are upmteen different books and YouTube videos on this but they are no substitute for sitting with Toulouki and seeing how she analyzes one of your own photographs. Her eye is remarkable - spotting issues I might have just overlooked. She then shares how she sets about correcting the flaws and getting the very best out of the image. Each step of the process is patiently explained. Both what she was doing and why. We used two computers so that I could follow along and try and replicate each stage.

Toulouki is a kind, patient and skilled tutor. (In my day job I'm a qualified IT Trainer. I know what I'm talking about on this :))

Toulouki shared her workflow, showing how she starts in Lightroom and what tasks she performs there. Then to Photoshop and the work there. Finally back to Lightroom and yet more polishing of the image.

Really great, enjoyable day. I left feeling both inspired and a lot more confident.

Wow! What an amazing woman! Cheryl happened in London and I snapped up the opportunity to be shot by her last-minute. Everything from pre-comms to the shoot was smooth and perfect. She was so incredibly organised - her moodboard also consisted of a full blown, play-by-play schedule and outfit/ hair/ makeup description - the most organised moodboard ever! It was amazing :)

The plan was street fashion shots on the streets of East London for possible publication - and that's exactly what we did! Cheryl arranged for the lovely HMUA Gem to join us and for us to get ready at the Hacienda studio; everything was thought of. When we made it to the streets, perfectly styled in th outfits Cheryl had picked out, and she was so wonderfully considerate of the biting cold her models were experiencing in them... But it was all worth it when I got to look at the back of the camera, because the shots were stunning - I cannot wait to see them after they have been through Cheryl's post-processing magic!

Cheryl herself is an amazing, bubbly, creative person whose work (both as a photographer and a model) speaks for itself. She is absolutely brilliant and I highly recommend her.

I am so blessed to have gotten to work with Cheryl! I hope to do so again, maybe next time in a duo :O

At last, I've managed to find time to get some instruction in editing. "Not before time" many might say.

I was privileged to be taught some great techniques by the awesome Toulouki, & time at "school" has never been so exciting.

She patiently showed me her workflow, how to use many of the tools she uses & perhaps more importantly how to develop my "eye".

As ever Toulouki was fun, easy to get on with, & explained stuff in terms even I understood. ;)

My previous recommendation stands, in fact I'm sure anyone who is tutored by her will have just as fascinating a time with her as I did.

Whole heartedly recommended.

The turn around was bloody quick and the results, well I'm sooo happy about them, I did a little eppp out loud at work :) The price is amazing for all the hard work she puts in.

Had a 1-2-1 tuition on Dodge and Burn with Chiara. She was patient with me and explained things in a way that was easy for me to understand. I would highly recommend Chiara as she is an excellent teacher.

I spent a day last summer shooting with Chiara, & had one of my most productive shoots ever, coming away with many images I was more than happy with.

Now, however, I have shots which have been raised to the next level by the editing skills of my model, under her guise as Toulouki Orsini.

Her skill, & "eye" are second to none, & to say I'm delighted with the results is an understatement. I have received my first (& so far only) FPI with one of her gorgeous edits, & I'm glad to include some of them in my portfolio.

I have no hesitation recommending her, & I hope to learn some of her techniques at a future date.

I've had the pleasure to work with cheryl on many occasions now, and will continue to do so. toulouki has edit images for me a few times and they are excellent, easy to work with and really understand the vision within the images and brings the very best out of every image. I very highly recommend getting your images retouched.

I have seen first hand the amount of work and the effort put in to ensure the final image is fantastic...

I just wish one day I could be as good and competent as Toulouki..
