About me
Hi, I’m an experienced photographer specialising in location portraits. I’m genuine, honest and reliable.
I just love taking and making beautiful portrait images. I’m most comfortable and creative in outdoor spaces where the surrounding environment can help get great shots. Woodland, parks, seaside, urban or cityscapes are all good backdrops. That said, I’m equally happy shooting in a studio and have had some great sessions indoors, I tend to shoot more studio and indoor work in the winter months.
I have a good quality set up including a range of lighting equipment which helps to get the best shots in almost any setting.
I like to have a rough shoot plan and always collaborate beforehand to work up shoots to ensure the details are agreed and that both of us are happy with what we’re after from a session. It’s always good to agree wardrobe, make up, any props, etc and check locations. I’m open to ideas and will happily include any concept you fancy in a shoot.
I have a relaxed approach to shooting, never rush, I do like to chat and have fun whilst working. I am flexible on the day as often you find when on location, there are lots of opportunities and ideas for other shots.
If you want to select images from our shoot for me to edit, that’s no problem, you can do that if you wish. I normally edit the best 1-2 shots from each set, mostly that’s around 20-30 (give or take) high resolution images from a session.
Surrealism
At the moment I have a keen interest in more unusual shots and am enjoying exploring surrealism with some interesting and fun images as a result. If you have any weird suggestions or unusual concepts, please do give me a shout.
