I set Toby the challenge of working outside a studio...and what an experience it was. Not only did he immediately conjure up so many creative ideas, he played around with new lighting equipment and remained determined to get the perfect shot. He has a great eye for framing, which is reflected in the results. I always enjoy working with this guy, as we collaborate, manipulate and curate several looks/styles together-giving freedom to the left hand side of our brains! Despite the agro of the dodgy reflector, (if in doubt shake it out), we really did have a memorable day.

This is my second time working with Toby and he is fast becoming one of my favourite people to work with. He is perpetually learning and trying to improve his photography and trying to push himself, which means he isn't afraid to try new things, different lighting etc. Shooting with Toby is relaxed but very productive and i greatly enjoy working with him. We came away with so many great images and I'm looking forward to seeing the results.

Toby and I shot fashion in the studio and wow - what fun! It was quite a last minute shoot yet Toby had some fantastic and specific ideas for styles and shows an active interest in every element of each look which is great. I really feel we gelled well together, bouncing ideas around and properly collaborating...creating really interesting and flattering shots. We even came up with a completely different look on the spot that contrasted the others so perfectly! I really enjoyable shoot and so he is absolutely highly recommended and I certainly hope I get the chance to work with him again.

I recently had another fantastic and most creative shoot with Toby. Pre-communication (as always) was swift, clear and precise-with a mood board link attached. His concepts are suitably admiring, and when putting our minds together we always end up with plenty of ideas. He always makes the model feel comfortable and is a geuinely lovely person to be around.

I had a shoot with Toby last week in a beautiful studio in High Barnet. Toby is a very professional and respectful photographer. He also has many interesting ideas but he loves to hear the model's ideas/opinions as well. I found it very productive to shoot with Toby, we had the chance to put our experiences and creativity together for the realization of an amazing shoot.

I recommend Toby and I really hope to have the chance to work with him again.

Had an equestrian shoot with Toby James yesterday. He arrived early and ready to go.

He was very chatty and friendly which made for a relaxed atmosphere and was very patience with me and sooty. He had some great ideas and took the time to make sure we got a great shot.

He was very conscious about Sooty and needing a break for him and myself as it was a very hot day for him which was lovely.

Over all great fun day :)

What an awesome and productive 3rd shoot with Toby! He gave me clear ideas of what he wanted to achieve before the shoot and a fantastic moodboard covering a vast range of different styles.

We explored each style with assiduous effort, ensuring they were perfected.

Toby is becoming skilled with lighting, creating a range of different effects from low key, high key and some funky coloured gels.

Toby is so easy to work with, chatty and fun throughout the day making the time fly by!

Had a brilliant shoot with Toby at Studio Zero :)

His communication of ideas before the shoot was perfect in helping me to bring the relevant stuff and having an idea of what we were looking to do. On the day Toby was super lovely, he is friendly, funny, and very easy to get on with. He looks after you and is a gentleman. He is easy to talk to and communicate ideas and suggestions, it very much feels like team work. He is very creative and passionate about what he does and it absolutely shows and is so lovely to work with somebody who is so enthusiastic and keen to progress. It really does ignite your own creativity and you can feed off each other :) He even cares if you have music, which was so appreciated! :D Toby really is a hero to work with, loved our shoot and of course the images looked amazing, I loved what I saw on the back of the camera! :D :D

My third shoot with Toby now and I can only repeat the comments I have left before!

Working with Toby is great and always good fun! :) Toby has a very good eye and is not only a lovely person to work with but is also happy to try just about anything. I thought I might have scared him off with the latest shoot (and my ideas) but we actually got some amaaaazing images-! Blue hair can seriously work, baby!!! Hahaha.

Had a shoot with Toby a couple weeks back, well what can I say that hasn't already been said, beaming with ideas, full of originality and definate oomph!

We covered a range of already famous ideas which then developed into our own creation, we also shot a lot of fashion nude which is not a genre I'm very used too.

I had an amazing shoot with Toby last week. He is a very talented and creative photographer and takes photography very seriously. I absolutely loved the stuff we shot with gels, the whole process was very exciting and I loved how passionate he is about creating beautiful photographs. Had a great shoot with Toby last weekend.

I brought plenty of looks and we spent the whole day shooting.

He was very polite, chatty, keen to learn and happy to try different styles.

I was very well looked after on set, allowed breaks, fed and watered etc. It was a very laid back, good day!

Toby very kindly booked me for half a days shoot whilst on a last minute London tour to attend the London Christmas Social. We worked together at the fantastic Amersham Studios which was such a lovely, professional and inspiring space to shoot at. It was our first time working together, so I am always a little nervous but needn't have been as Toby is so down to earth, kind and considerate!

He was an absolute gentleman to work with, allowing for plenty of warm up breaks and tea breaks. He also put up with my rather manic coffee induced (and sleep deprivation!) sense of humour on the shoot! :) The shoot was at a very relaxed pace and the photos looked beautiful. Toby is creative, intelligent and a joy to shoot with, putting alot of effort into lighting and the end results of his photography. Thankyou for a lovely end to the day and I hope we get the chance to work together again, highly recommended, Helen x
