References for Neil Thetford

Had a really awesome spontaneous shoot with Thetford photography recently this shoot was a food campaign for juicitup buns and wings and for a blog on Neil’s photography website.

Prior to shooting pre-communication was great although planned literally the day before everything came together so quickly.

On the day of the shoot Neil arrived prior to the shoot time and we had a good chat and a discussion before shooting which was really helpful. As this was a sort of shoot I’d never really done before I definitely needed a good briefing.

So this was a food campaign shoot, posing with burgers, chicken wings, fish and chips, smoothies, milk shakes you name it!! Neil was really good at giving direction which I really needed as your typical lingerie, latex, and fashion model this isn’t the sort of type of shooting that I would normally do.

This shoot was so much fun and we had plenty of laughs and smiles. Neil really brought the shoot together and was helpful at directing everyone and asking what he needed from both me and the chefs. Neil really brought the shoot together and he really knows his stuff about food photography!!

When I saw myself published on the official restaurant’s instagram and on Neil’s website. I made my parents, grandparents and fiancé very proud and after I got to keep a waffle and fish and chips too. This was such a fun morning an opportunity of a life time. I LOVED IT!! I highly recommend Neil. He’s such a professional and he really knows his stuff about food photography.

I had a FANTASTIC first shoot with Neil at my Penthouse- home studio location. Neil was very professional from the beginning and also arrived on time.

His pre shoot communication was also spot on.

He was extremely respectful, a complete gentleman and a cracking photographer with great experience and lighting skills.

Another great shoot with Neil.

Helped me by picking me up from the train station and dropping me off after the shoot, even made me a cup of tea during the shoot :)

Neil also make sure I was warm, put heating on for me and gave me a blanket and worm food.

I feel like at this point we know each other well enough as we have worked together for a while now.

It was not easy posing with heavy, massive pumpkin on my head but I think we done good, it was great fun.

I really think we make a great team :)

Very lovely and fun gentleman.

We have so much giggle during the shoot.

Made sure I had somewhere safe to get changes, had water and cup of tea ready.

This is the second time I’ve had the pleasure of working with Neil! I am so happy with the shots we achieved in short space of time. Neil listens to your ideas and helps make them work with fab results. This was a last minute shoot but it worked really well! Highly Recommend!

I had a fantastic shoot with Neil on Wednesday we worked from my house and used the garden and got some awesome images the weather wasn't on our side but that didn't matter as we still had a great shoot Neil is a lovely photographer to work with he makes you feel at ease when shooting and has great ideas for images as well as just a lovely person to be around look forward to working again soon :)

here in lays the problem with shooting with neil, its not a box of chocolates; a box of chocolates is predictable, poop coloured, and will make you fat. ;)

a shoot with neil will leave you happy, confident, swamped with exceptional images and a guy you can rely on. and nobody wants that ;)

obviously i think hes great, i worked with him again! hes punctual, easy to work with (and good at it) well presented, and will look after you. hes a-ok with chaperones too!

hands down making into my "go to" list for paid work via my patreon etc.

another amazing location shoot in the bag. his time is precious, so fight for your spots guys! or, ya know, be boring with some chocolate.

Just gotten off a shoot with Neil

Although time was culled at short notice, we got two looks down and I'm very happy with how they are looking to turn out.

Neil responded to my casting call for an elf set of images and I'm very glad he did. He's great to talk to, great pre comms, and is very respectful of personal space without feeling distant.

Would I recommend? I'm planning my next looks for him already, you tell me? ;)
