Finally I had the pleasure of working with Roos James (Running With Scissors) to create a series of new images titled 'Silence = Death' (conceived to highlight the ongoing suffering of members of the LGBTQA+ people within Chechnya) & what an absolute delight it was!

Roos arrived early and from the offset was enthusiastic, focused and showed a level of professionalism and proficiency that many older than them would be jealous of.

I have followed the work of Roos for some time now and have always been impressed with their creative flare and passion for makeup as an art form in its own right, but to sit down and have them actually apply the make up for me was a truly beautiful experience.

The subject matter for this project required a sensitive approach from all of those involved, as well as a level of understanding and sympathy for those who are suffering - I was thoroughly impressed with the commitment and dedication to the work displayed by Roos.

In short 10 out of 10, would highly recommend and if you need an MUA for your project, look no further than Running With Scissors!

I had the pleasure of having 2 makeup looks applies to me by Roos yesterday, It was our first time meeting and I'm sure it won't be the last. Her makeup kit is vast and impressive, as is her knowledge of products. Roos has a kind and chatty nature and is very gentle at makeup application.

Her attention to detail was very apparent and yet managed to do a full face as well as torso body makeup in a reasonable time.

I would recommend Running With Scissors to anyone seeking striking and creative makeup for any project !

Roos was a gem at our shoot with Talli yesterday - a lot of MUAs would cringe at the thought of the ideas I had in mind but she was raring to go! We covered the model in copper leaf and then over 50 temp tattoos which we then covered in bright pink paint! I love this girl! I hope we work together many more times in the future :)

Roos is just the most fabulous Person to work with. We had a Photoshoot yesterday, and her Make Up Work was simply stunning! Not only did her Makeup bowl me over, but the Studio Owner too asked her for her details, saying that they too could use her incredible talents.
