About Me:

34 year old female photographer & self portrait artist, Midlands UK

I’ve always had a passion for photography and in recent years have become more interested and experienced with artistic self portraiture in particular. I love all of the stages of a photoshoot, from initial concept through to styling, creating backdrops and of course, the final outcome of the images. As my portfolio is predominantly made of my self portraiture currently, I’m now looking to collaborate with other models to extend my creativity further and focus my skills more behind the camera.

My experience with shooting:

I have over a decade of modelling experience, shooting from fashion and beauty, to fetish, lingerie and art nude. For new models, this means I can assist with posing tips and techniques to make sure we get the perfect shots together. I also have an extensive wardrobe of props and accessories I’ve collected over the years which can be used during shoots where needed, as well as owning my own brand (@causamortisarts) so have many interesting pieces available to shoot with at all times!

Location, Travel and Availability:

By day I own and work in my tattoo studio in Loughborough full time which means my availability to shoot around tattooing is limited. However, the studio is available as a location for shoots where an alternative is unavailable. There is ample space to shoot in different areas of the building, as well as space to set up a variety of backdrops, lights etc. 

I’m happy to travel for the right occasion however rely on public transport to do so as I don’t drive.

Availability for shoots is usually Sunday and Monday, however other options are available with enough notice.

Style and Interests:

I predominantly shoot using film and instant photography as I love the style of the photos, what can be achieved and the surprise upon developing! I am of course happy to shoot using digital photography occasionally and am looking to improve my skills and knowledge of working with digital as time goes on. 

The main areas of interest for me and what I’d like to shoot in particular are boudoir, lingerie, vintage, pinup, fetish, latex and alt fashion styles. For now, I’m looking to work mainly with female identifying and non binary models or anyone with a strong or interesting look. I’m looking to work with 18+ models only (due to the styles I’d like to shoot) plus sized models, poc models, disabled models and queer models. I would love to build a varied portfolio of models which represent a range of styles and peoples personal stories, whilst providing a safe and comfortable environment to shoot in.
