I went to the studio yesterday and was welcomed by friendly models and photographers.

Dave was very knowledgeable and passionate about all different elements of the photography and models,that I felt very much at ease.

Would highly recommend this studio to anyone that has creative elements they are trying to portray.

I found this studio a few weeks ago and have attended some photographers' events there. Dave is really helpful and keen to be of help. There are several potential set-ups. It is also warm and has free parking outside. All in all, I could recommend very highly.

Went down for a little meet-and-greet session there a while back, and it quickly became my go-to studio for pretty much anything!

Lovely big, open space with unbelievably high ceiling, excellent climate control, good selection of backdrops, sets and props and a solid selection of lights and tons of modifiers. No crazy exotic high-end stuff, just solid workhorse kit that covers pretty much everything. The boudoir/bed set is nice but I wouldn't want to use it regularly without mixing up the fabrics etc a bit.

My only criticisms are that the backdrops could raised a bit to really utilise the room's height for crazy-low-angle shots, and it'd be nice to have a microwave/mini-fridge for long sessions. Unbeatable value though, and Dave the owner is a knowledgeable and fun guy - we've ended up working together regularly and I've been helping out at events etc.

I've been looking for a good studio in Liverpool which isn't city centre based due to lack of decent/free parking. Also, trying to carry equipment through Liverpool can be a nightmare.

So I found The Powder Rooms on purpleport and decided to book a shoot.

Dave is a brilliant host, got chatting straight away & he's really easy to talk to. The studio has enough space & equipment for most shoot styles and loads of additional props/fabrics etc. Dave is also more than happy to assist photographers regardless of level or professional ability which I know can be daunting to some photographers.

I would highly recommend The Powder Rooms to any photographer lookgin to book a few hours in a friendly, relaxed, well equiped environment. Looking forward to shooting there again at some time in the near future!

The powder rooms are beautiful an dave is such a fabulous host. So much equipment there for use an he was so helpful when setting up. The changing rooms are a lovely size too . Will happily shoot here again.

Absolutely great spot! This place is very friendly and professional. I haven't felt so at home in a studio and with the owner. I would recommend The Powder Rooms Studio to any and everyone. You can get really creative here and there is heating!!!! Thanks a lot. really enjoyed your hospitality!

I had the pleasure of working with Dave at his studio for a clothing line.

Dave is great to work with, knows exactly what he is doing and is great fun to be around.

The Studio is perfect, well equipped, warm, tea and coffee on the ready and the changing room, upstairs is perfect with lit mirrors for Make-up and a clothes rail.

Dave is a genuinely nice guy who I love working with and I look forward to next time :D

Shot at the powder rooms last weekend its a cracking studio. plenty of space full of equipment Dave offered to borrow me some Lens for the shoot He was there with refreshments for the whole shoot a great host. Didn't have to do a thing as I told him how I would set up for the sets I would use and he had it all ready for me on arrival. Highly recommended studio

Wanting a studio in Liverpool ('cos that's where the model lives), led me to a choice of two. But the thought of trying to park in an unfamiliar city was what persuaded me toward the powder rooms studio.

Dave was tolerant beyond belief when it came to my booking the studio. If someone exasperates me that way, I'll take my business elsewhere, even when it's costing me! But having gotten there complete with the wonderful Renaissance (elsewhere on this site, including the front page), Dave set about arranging everything, before leaving us to it.

I can only echo KarenR (for whom I have considerable respect) with regard to Dave's helpfulness on lighting. Growing increasingly frustrated at setting up a gelled layout, Dave helped build the set light by light, until the point arrived where I was happy with the results.

With an industrial heater blasting out industrial heat, we were all warm & cosy, and it was a productive afternoon.

All this, and the rates are reasonable too!

I have shot at The Powder Rooms since it opened and have to say never get tied of the place. A large studio will all the lights and modifiers you could as for. Most of all the owner Dave a great photographer in his own right will act as your assistant if required and for those new to studio sessions this becomes a 121 training session leaving people of all abilities wiser and more accomplished.

Without a doubt the studio and help at The Powder Rooms makes this the best studio I have used in a long while.

I had the absolute pleasure of working at 'The Powder Rooms' earlier this week.

It was great to catch up with Dave again after such a long time.

Dave was great, helping with lights and suggesting ideas to get the Photographer I was working with the end results he was after.

Dave was very hospitable, carrying my case to and from the car, quickly followed by getting the Kettle on and making a much needed hot drink :D

Once things were set up, Dave disappeared and left us to it until needed again with light change, help etc...

The studio was lovely and warm and the changing room was ideal, with both a mirror and hanging space for clothing I had brought and a toilet in the same unit so no need to leave the warmth :D

The studio is well equipped with backdrops, sets and plenty of lighting equipment for Photographers to use.

I highly recommend this studio as well as Dave with 5 stars *****

It was lovely to attend The Powder Rooms yesterday when I was booked to model for a photographer who had hired the studio.

It was such a pleasure to meet Dave the owner and what a wonderful set up he has at The Powder Rooms. It is fully equipped and warm.

Dave was offering some tuition to the photographer I was working with and I have to admit that I was very very impressed. I have modelled for many lighting tuition and workshops and Daves knowledge and teaching skills definitely stood out above the rest in fact I went away a lot more knowledgeable about cameras.

very impressive and obviously highly recommended.

I would love to return to the studio in the very near future and hope that I definitely do so.

Had my first shoot at The Powder Rooms. I was very impressed. The facilities were excellent, with a large amount of lights and equipment. It was lovely and warm, which was very welcome, as it was a very cold evening outside. Dave, the studio owner, was fantastic. He offered expert advice, opperated the lighting, helped with the sets, and made lots of tea. The atmosphere was always warm, friendly and professional. I'll definitely be using the studio again. Highly recommended.

Great studio to work in. Competitive prices, loads of lights and modifiers, plenty of space and different sets, and Dave the studio owner even works as an assistant to the shoot. I didn't have to touch a light once!!

Private changing rooms for the models and a heater that could melt the ice caps are always a bonus.

I am absolutely certain I will be using the Powder Rooms again :)

Well kitted out, and fantastic choice of equipment. To say it was good value would be understating how excellent TPR is.

Dave was really very helpful. Whilst not totally new to studio work I have a lot to learn and Dave was more than happy to offer guidance.

I would rebook TPR without hesitation.

Just had my second studio shoot at the Powder Rooms, and again a fantastic experience I am planning to repeat soon.

Dave was there to meet me, and we used free time between models to discuss options and for Dave to give me a lesson in studio lighting techniques - a fantastic and much appreciated bonus!

The facilities as before are excellent and the space is well laid out and versatile.

On a chilly December day the massive heater was an incredibly welcome feature!

Great experience and already planning the next booking!
