Louise worked as a barmaid in Cambridge (UK). I dropped into the bar she was in while out getting bored to death shopping with my wife and could not take any more. I split away from the wife to go for a beer and was so pleased I did. I was immediately captivated by Louise's big bright smile and asked her there and then if she would model for me. Two days later in the gardens on an abandoned manor house in St Ives, I took this. I immediately dismissed this photograph as rubbish due to the harsh sunlight and visible flare on the image. That was back in 2004 when I had less experience of shooting models, and now my attitude towards what is good or bad has changed, So now 17 years after being taken I can appreciate this image for what it is. The pretty smiling "girl next door" type image.
