Shot at the Monkey Sanctuary Studio for the first time yesterday, greeted with smiles and help carrying my bags, coffee on tap! Easy to find and ample parking. This is a great space to work in…nice choice of different backgrounds and heated changing room…what more could a girl want! 😊 Would love to work there again without hesitation…lots there to keep a chaperone entertained with it being above an auctioneers and plenty of amenities around for food and drink. Would highly recommend 💯 to any models/photographers! X

Fab set up for a studio that Mal has created for The Monkey Sanctuary.

Mal provided hot drinks and snacks, an area to privately get ready which was nice and warm by a heater.

Great use of different lighting and plenty of props to use.

We have come up with some future ideas which I'm looking forward to try out.

I really enjoyed my first shoot with Mal at The Monkey Sanctuary, he is extremely polite, friendly, professional and I felt comfortable throughout the whole shoot.

Highly recommend to anyone who hasn't yet been hereand worked with Mal.

I had the pleasure of shooting with Mal in his fantastic new studio, the Monkey Sanctuary, located in Darwen. This cozy studio is conveniently close to the train station and offers comfortable parking. It's situated in an old factory near an antique shop filled with unique and interesting items, making it a captivating place to visit.

Mal goes above and beyond to create the perfect atmosphere for the shoot. He ensures the studio is warm, offers tea and snacks, and takes excellent care of the model. The studio boasts two great backgrounds and professional lighting, making it an ideal place for creative work.

Working with Mal is an absolute pleasure. He is incredibly relaxed, kind, and engaging to chat with. Not only is he a talented photographer, but he's also a warm friend who provides unwavering support.

I wholeheartedly recommend the Monkey Sanctuary studio and working with Mal. You're guaranteed to have an amazing and productive time.

The Monkey Sanctuary is the natural habitat of the photographer knows as Cheeky Monkey. The lovely Malcom uses this space for his own wonderfully creative photographic projects. I have been at this cozy studio several times now and it's been such a pleasure everytime.

Mal always makes sure that every model is warm, comfortable and has hot beverages going and even chocolate. The studio has a lovely changing area, great lights which Mal really knows how to use and various backdrops.

What makes this space special is the creative magic created by Malcom on the shoots with always beautiful results.

Can't wait to be back soon and highly recomended by me :)

I loved the monkey sanctuary! Great space and well thought for our set up. I was very well looked after, kept warm and hydrated and Mal was so kind and always offering me snacks ect to make sure I was kept feeling at home. I loved working with Mal here and would absolutely be happy to return to the monkey sanctuary to throw more shapes. Highly recommend to models of all status both new and pro!

I had fantastic time working in The Monkey Sanctuary run by Cheeky Monkey. The studio is very versatile, with great backdrops and natural brick wall which looks very cool.

Excellent pre comms, very well organised, friendly, professional, respectful, loads of energy and plenty of teas going.

Mal was a great host making sure I was feeling warm and comfortable during our shoot.

Thank you so much for a brilliant shoot and hopefully I'll be back to shoot with you in the studio again at some point soon.

The monkey sanctuary is exactly that… a sanctuary where you will be well looked after by a lovely photographer, Mal. He makes a great cuppa and a great taste in chocolate too! Beautiful studio run by a fantastic photographer, with tonnes and tonnes of personality and quirky areas to shoot, lots of natural light coming through the windows, studio backdrops, and props around. Love coming here, as I get to work with Malcolm, and we always get a great shoot out of it!

Had a shoot with Mal at his studio in Darwen. The studio is inside a shop that sells lots of amazing things. There’s lots of vintage items to look at in the shop after your shoot :) Mal is a great host and has a kettle to make teas and coffees and has snacks too. There are curtains around the backdrop so that nobody can see you are shooting :) thanks for looking after your models Mal.

Had a wonderful shoot in this studio. Pre-visit communication with the photographer were perfect. When I turned up, everything was prepared on time with an lovely greeting and guidance.

Mal is amazing photographer to work with. As a person, caring, empathetic, attentive to model's needs. We were able to discuss a lot of ideas and create creative collaboration. I got a chance to ask many questions and discuss possibilities for future creative endeavors. Very professional guidance on every aspect of the shoot.

Also very reliable, so very highly recommended.

I had another fantastic shoot in Darwen studio in Darwen.

Large space with well-equipped lighting and a warm enough changing room.

And for the people who drive is a free car park available in front of the door.

Looking forward to working in this studio again and highly recommended it to any models or photographers.

The studio has a really good selection of backgrounds as well as some fantastic exposed brick walls which are great to shoot using just natural light from the many windows. A comfortable safe and friendly studio. Highly recommended!

It was my second time shooting at this wonderful studio the last time was a couple of months ago but even in that short time the studio has extended even more and looks just amazing.

I was booked for a 1-2-1 followed by a group shoot.

As previously Mel was just great and extremely friendly and just great to work with, picked me up from the station and kept the brews coming. It was a large group that attended but it felt all very relaxed and has such a lovely atmosphere throughout, really superb evening and this is certainly becoming my favourite studio to shoot at!

The studio is fantastic as there is a place for models to change and has a café in the building. There's plenty of interesting props as well that can be used for the shoot. The venue has a lot of potential for creating outstanding images. The venue also has parking outside if it's required.

Mal was very welcoming and professional, the studio had great space and backdrops suited to my style. Mal offered me a brew and We chatted about ideas and outfits beforehand. The shoot was very pleasant and enjoyable and Mal was professional throughout.

Recently I had my first shoot in new location :) They booked me for a individual shoot and group shoot afterwards. I had a really good time, studio is well equipped with lights, props, backgrounds and heaters to keep models warm while shooting nude/lingerie. There is also changing area for models which is very warm and has a mirror so you can check your hair and makeup every time you get changed :)

Overall a great space to create images in.

Attended a 1-2-1 shoot here yesterday with Mal, pre communication was great and after a few hiccups with the satnav, Mal welcomed me in to the studio :). I was offered refreshments throughout the shoot which wa very thoughtful. The studio is brilliant to shoot from and has different back grounds, chairs and props to use if needs be. Would highly recommend to anybody and would definitely go again!

Also, there’s a little cafe downstairs so I got an ice cream on the way out which always makes things better!

Attended Darwen Studio for the first time last night for a group shoot with the awesome Miss Red. What a fantastic little studio this is. It is great now & the Co owners have lots of plans so it is only going to get better. At the moment there is just one shooting space but this can be used in lots & lots of different ways, with lots of different backdrops & lighting set ups. I will definitely be back.

Highly recommended.

I came for the first time at Darwen Studio for a 1-2-1 shoot with Mal. It's a cute studio with plenty of options in terms of backgrounds. I think the wall of bricks is pretty nice and different of other studios. It has everything you need.

I had my own private area where I could get ready and change, another nice area to have a tea/coffee/snacks et some couches to have a break.

The studio is located in an antique store which is super original and they let you borrow some props if needed.

I had a great afternoon at the studio and with Mal. I met Dave as well who was a very nice person too.

As always, another amazing evening modelling at club Albert and Victoria in Darwin with some of the nicest people you could meet…The photographers are all very good at what they do and everyone seems to come away happy. The Club owners Dave and Mal go above and beyond for the models and photographers bringing new ideas to life all the time. The studio is always kept warm for me as everyone knows I really do feel the cold. I will hopefully be there very often over the next coming weeks and booking shoots through the studio for one to ones as much as I can. Thanks for another great evening.

Obviously I highly recommend the studio to any model or photographer.
