Had another super shoot with Mike this morning.

He is such a true gentlemen, really cares about his model and her comfort and looks after you throughout the entire shoot. Not only that but he is just a pleasure to be around, really friendly and kind and it's so easy to talk to him. I get on with him incredibly well and always look forward to working with him!

From what I saw on the back of the camera we got some awesome shots today and I couldn't resist grabbing some BOC shots whilst I wait to see some final edits :P

Highly recommended by me and hope to work with him again next time!

It was so lovely to catch up with Mike again after our first shoot: just where does the time go!? I had a truly wonderful time working with Mike on all the different locations at Joel Hicks Photographic: I was inspired b the cracking outdoorsy images he shot of me on our first shoot together so I just knew he would have an eye for a beautiful image around the grounds of the place. And he sure did! :D He can spot golden opportunities in natural light like and agent spotting a missile - where the sun is usually a challenging source of light (especially so when dappled through the trees) Mike just takes it all in his stride and concentrates with the conditions but ultimately produces the stunning effect in his work so effortlessly. Making beautiful pictures really does come naturally to Mike: he has a very talented visual for delicate feminine beauty so models can always rest assured he will be working to bring this out of them: we certainly did some of that ourselves but I couldn't resist to unleash some crazy Keira Styling on him as well - and he absolutely nailed it! :D We had such a fun shoot and got the full spectrum of variety, Mike really is a legend and I can only say that I really look forward to working together again as there are always more ideas than you can physically shoot, plus ones pop into your brain when the shoot has finished.

Mike has always been a gem with communications: things get confirmed so efficiently and it's never waiting months for confirmation or this or that. He is a very down-to-earth gent with the approach which should be standard; extremely professional and overly courteous towards models (I have to nag him to help me into tricky corsets/jewellery because he is just so respectful of the models personal space) and he shows no end of appreciation for the work that us models do. I kid you not, if you have a shoot lined up with mike you will undoubtedly have a blast and adore the images after. It also makes all the difference on a shoot when you can chat about everything shoot related and not! :D I laugh when I think about how we started chatting about one topic and then end up chatting about something completely different because we go off on one tangent and then another and it is such great fun!

The photographs have begun making their way up onto PurplePort and my gosh is it exciting times! They are absolutely stunning, this gent knows his stuff and will never let an opportunity for a wonderful image escape. You will adore the results and love the team value you get when shooting with Mike, take it from me. He's a real sweetheart and a fabulous photographer.

He met me at the station as agreed, helped me with my bags, provided lunch and snacks and regular breaks, I have absolutely no issues recommending him to other models i felt completely safe and respected throughout, the venue was amazing and I was very impressed indeed with both his organisation and the quality of the images. Had a seriously fun shoot with Mike this week at Ariane studios!

We had this booked incredibly far ahead due to my schedule but it was well worth the wait, he even came along with lunch and a bottle of wine for me to take home with me - major brownie points haha :)

We worked our way through numerous different looks and from what I saw on the back of the camera and on the laptop we got some seriously nice stuff, or 'lush' as I couldn't stop saying on the day haha!!

We had lots to talk about and I got on with him incredibly well :)

I would without a doubt recommend him and in fact already have my next shoot with him planned which I'm looking forward too :D

I worked with Mike for the first time today and hope it wont be the last!

I felt completely comfortable from the start and he is very easy to get along with :) He even brought sweets and flowers! What more could you ask for?

From what I saw on the camera the images looked stunning and the 3 hours flew by!

I shot with Mike very recently at Sandon Studio! Mike was a pleasure to work with. He is super chilled and a good laugh. He picked me up from Birmingham New Street and we made our way to the location. Mike let me be free when it came to the styling, he let me pose away and we really made the most of the natural light in some gorgeous sets. I'm really happy with the images from the shoot, and would even like to have some of them on my portfolio. Mike made sure I was happy throughout the shoot, he provided a lovely lunch and props, and his pre comms were on top form. I throughly enjoyed our time working together, and would love to work with him again. Thanks so much!

I had a really lovely shoot today with mike at the awesome location the retreat ...

mike communications before were spot on and I knew exactly what to bring and the kind of shoot we were going to do ...

mike is very professional, extremely considerate of the model and even bought me grapes and chocolate biscuits ...( which i proceeded to eat half the packet on my drive home !!!)

he certainly knows his lighting very well and we also really made use of some of the natural light that was available in the house .

mike is very chatty and really easy to get along with and I wish we had had longer as I could of stayed for hours chatting and working with him .

mike is definitely highly recommended by me and I sincerely hope I get to work with him again this year.

Had a lovely 1st shoot with Mike the 4 hours just flew by and we got some great images. Mike is easy to work with he has his ideas but also lets the model put her own spin on things and making sure that I'm warm while we shot and was understanding when i messaged him saying i was going to be late because of the bloody trains

I worked with Mike at Ariane Studio in Tamworth on a duo shoot with Bendy Lady.

Mikes pre communications were excellent and he was such good fun to work with. He had brought so much food and snacks! His work flow was relaxed and we had lots of breaks but still managed to cover lots of styles and he was very creative yet let us do our thing also.

Highly recommended and I really hope we get to shoot again at some point!

I had my first shoot with Mike yesterday in Tamworth and I must say he is an absolute pleasure to work with!

He is full of creative ideas and he knows exactly what he wants from his shoots. Mike pays attention to detail and lighting in his shoots which is key to producing a great image.

Most importantly, I felt very relaxed throughout the shoot and was very comfortable doing duo shots with him as well. He is very hard working and fun to talk to! I highly recommend this amazing photographer to other models!

What a whale of a time it was shooting with Mike yesterday at Sandon Studios :) he cot only selected a truly fabulous place to work from but utilised many an opportunity for an out of this world shot using the available and controlled light to add WOW to the beauty along the way. Needless to say that I thoroughly loved every moment of our shoot and the back of the camera made my eyes pop again and again - I'm surprised I had any left by the time we wrapped up!

Mike maintained excellent communications from the moment of initiation giving clear/concise details about what to bring/styling etc. This helped to positively build up visual ideas beforehand and lay out some terrific foundations to build off which worked a treat because on each and every set we were quite literally on a roll. His love for the elegant and feminine values in an image make for superb inspiration and he can sculpt the magic so effortlessly by carefully composing and taking time to get the moment right; Mike also communicated effectively mid-shoot when something worked well so we just bounced off each others flow as he welcomes his models input and suggestions as well.

Such a lovely person and a real good heart. I felt totally at ease and relaxed at all times, mike was always on guard to make sure I was comfortable and not getting cold. He also brought tasty nibbles amid his pristine organisation! We chatted and chatted as we shot, great laughs and image yield came hand in hand... even on the way back to the station we were continually nattering and chuckling away. Mike puts so much into his photography and that wonderful working relationship the models gets from it is absolute gold-dust. Thank you ever so much Mike. :)

Worked a half day at Ariane Studios with Mikey and thoroughly enjoyed both the shoot and his witty, intellectual conversation. Both his lighting & composition is faultless and we produced some fantastic shots. Mikey is the perfect gentleman, making sure I was well fed, watered, warm enough.. seriously couldn't get enough of his consideration for the model during the shoot.. as a result, I love working with him and would do so again in a heartbeat.
