New to the Studio for 2024!

We are so excited to update our equipment & lighting list that is included in our hourly studio rate! 

Studio equipment in the main studio includes:

1 X Pixapro Kino 600ii 

1 X Godox QS 600ii 

2 X Godox SK300ii

All the above lights have the Godox wireless X system.

1 X “C” stand c/w boom and wheels.

Selens Large curved reflector (eye lighter).

Various octagonal and oblong soft boxes and stands.

Studio equipment for the second floor:

3 X 330speed flashlight cove flash D300

1  X interfit 300

We also have various soft boxes and modifiers! Including two Continuous Lights

2 X grided strip godox

2 X grided strip 30x120 bessels 

1 X Soft box collapsible beauty dish

1 X Octogan godox soft box 

1 X Pixapro 90x120 soft box 

2 X reflectors (100x100) (120x 80)

All are available when booking the studio at additional £10 per hour cost 

About us 

Creating The Studio is situated in a 200 year-old, grade 2 listed building, boasting one of the largest bottle ovens in Stoke-On-Trent including a handful of its original features and arrangements! Consisting of 3 stories, each with its own charm and secrets, we have a huge array of scenes to offer. 

We are so lucky to have brilliant natural light here at the Kiln! Meaning you can shoot in natural light on every floor! Each offering a totally different light! We do have a small selection of lighting equipment - and you are of course welcome to bring all the kit you wish! As soon as we are able we will be completely upgrading our lighting selection.  

The Kiln is run by a crazy collective, consisting of Zach, Liam, and Emily. We each have our role and together want to create a safe, fun and welcoming environment for fellow creatives. Zach and Emily are the faces you are likely to see, and who you will be chatting to on messages and our online platforms.

We are VERY PROUD to have these incredibly talented, local models involved with and representing our studio! They all know the space well and come highly recommended by us!

The Kiln Studio Rates - We are proud to offer very competitive rates, especially with all thats included when you hire the space. 

£30ph - for 1-2-1 studio bookings. 

£20ph - for 1-2-1 studio bookings with one of our amazing resident models. 

£40 - £60 for events/group-shoots/workshops/ parties - Price dependant on footfall. 

Additional Photographers on 1-2-1 shoots come at an additional £30 charge per photographer  

We require a 50% deposit to confirm any booking, with the remaining 50% to be paid before, or on the day. Deposits are non-refundable if the booking is cancelled with less that 72 hours notice. No shows will be charged full price. 

The Kiln Studio can be available any-time of any day! 

Some Things To Note 

We are not wheelchair accessible - sadly this is not ideal, but its just not possible with the building layout and its listing. 

The Kiln in particular is covered in dust, and nion impossible to get clean - so your feet will get dirty!! We do provide wipes and towels, but it is something to be aware of! 

Power to the kiln must be requested specifically. 

We welcome well behaved furry friends! Providing any accidents are cleaned up - owner and pet mess :) 

We hope to provide a relaxing and SAFE space that will NOT tolerate ANY bad behaviour of any sort. No level pushing! We expect the people that work here to be respectful of one another, and respectful of our space. 

We do do offer many things - such as clothing, accessories, make-up - a constantly changing prop selection - we ask that you are mindful when using anything, and that it stays in the studio. We appreciate that accidents happen, we simply ask that you let us know if any damages are made. 

We are fully insured for Professional Indemnity, Public and Product Liability. Details of this can be provided upon request. 

We are a new and upcoming studio and welcome any feedback! And welcome your creativity! We are very excited to see what you create here!
