First visit here today for Bethany Cammack's charity shoot. What a great studio! The owner Mike is a great guy. The studio has lots of different sets and a lot of different lights and modifiers. I like the studios that are local to me but Focal Point blows them out of the water! Will definitely be back!

This was my third shoot at the Studio and as always, Mike was very welcoming and helpful. When I mentioned about borrowing a motorbike from a friend and could I bring it in to the studio, he immediately offered his own bike as a prop ... which between you and me was a better offer than the one I could borrow! He has more studio lights than you could shake a stick at, lots of light modifiers, and has added a couple more sets to the studio's capabilities and opportunities. On top of all that, Mike is an extremely skilled and knowledgeable photographer in his own right and is immediately available if you want help, to bounce ideas off or just to call for help.

This studio is a REAL HIDDEN GEM!

Had my first shoot today at The Focal Point Foundry with temptationuk, i love this studio, the diner set is awesome and there are so many set options. Mike was lovely too helping out. Our shoot was pin up themed, so this was the perfect venue! i will certainly be coming back to shoot here in the future

Focal Point Foundry Studio was the location for a themed shoot based on Audrey Hepburn. The studio is in a large industrial unit so there is plenty of room for different sets and backdrops. While it was probably the coldest day of the year so far; Mike (the owner) had set up heaters that made a significant difference such that we could shoot more or less continuously except to drink a much appreciated cup of tea. Mike was ready whenever asked to help with moving/altering the lights when a shot wasn't quite working but otherwise, he kept himslef out of the way to let us get on with it.

Focal Point Foundry Studio is a hidden secret in Widnes and deserves more exposure and usage - I 100% recommend it.

Focal Point Foundry Studio - the not obvious, unassuming looking studio in Widnes run by Mike Evans. With a lot of space and I think 8 different sets (with room to move around them) accompanied by some excellent lighting and modifiers, it is a REALLY good studio and a pleasure to use.

Mike (a extremely experienced photographer himself) was there throughout the session and kept out of the way but was instantly there if you asked for help with changing the lighting, or just wanted a tip with what to try next. He also supplied some nice tea!!

I fully recommend the Focal Point Foundry and will be using it again. Thanks Mike

Mike arranged a group shoot for me at his large, well equipped studio full of awesome settings which he keeps on building up. He kindly picked me up from the station and dropped me back home as the shoot ran a bit late due to bad traffic situations for everyone attending.

Mikes studio events are very laid back, welcoming, professional and there is a large private dressing area for the models to get changed in.

Mike is a great laugh, very easy to talk to, made everyone feel at home and is a fab host ( everything you want when you attend a group shoot) he makes a nice coffee too.

I definitly want to work with him on our own private shoot, and would snatch up the opportunity to attend another event at his studio.

I 100% recommend Mike and his studio to everyone.

Booked the studio for 3 hours for a shoot with a friend. Mike was there before I arrived. Very friendly and helpful taking me through the lighting equipment what he found works for the various sets.

Loads of room and plenty of set options.

Will be going to some of the club nights and hoping to use the studio again in future collaborations

Mike, the owner, is a fantastic and genuine guy.

The studio has a variety of fabulous sets, you can literally shoot anything in there.

It is always being added to and is constantly being made more amazing.

Rates are more than reasonable too.

My second time at the studio, this time for a club day shoot with Essy Van der Vlles. I must say what a great Place this is wthl loads of sets and props. A great time was had by all. Mike was a great host and I am looking forward to the next time. If you are looking for a studio to hire this is the one.

Just got home from a shoot at Focal Point today. The studio is fantastic I have been looking for somewere like this to work from and turns out its only 10 mins away so could not be more pleased. I have organized 2 events recently at The Focal Point Foundry, both which were very successful!

The Focal Point Foundry is a creative haven which can cater to many different styles of shoots and suitable for photographers of all skill levels (even complete beginners as the studio owner Mike is always on hand to give technical assistance and can also offer tuition to those who ask!)

The space is incredibly versatile which boasts multiple set designs (including a retro American diner!!!!) and the most technologically advanced lighting equipment and gadgets that you can buy!!

On top of that, Mike's hospitality is spot on! He is a very generous person who is always happy to help and has bent over backwards to accommodate me on more than one occasion!

Every photographer that I have brought to the studio has left the shoot very happy with the promise of repeat bookings!

Spacious, great gadgets, fantastic set designs, and a wonderful host at such amazing value! What more could you want?

Highly recommended and of course I will be coming back again!

I went for an evening club shoot here. It was excellently organised with some superb backgrounds and lighting. Very friendly atmosphere and Mike was always on hand to help with any questions and lighting setups. I will certainly be visiting again.
