My personal interest in photography is to draw character from the surrounds, from the possessions and collected special trinkets we keep, to hail all that is unique about me or you as a person in their raw state. She should belong to her environment be part of it submerged in it, coagulated.

Some brief notes about me and how I choose to live and organise: I am now used to the feeling of trying to pull a jumper from a doorless cupboard; and that familiar rainbow landslide of cottons polyesters and silks plummeting towards my face, Nothing is ever folded. So tightly rammed not even the smoke from the wood burner can reach between their creases. When will I stop collecting things from the floor, other peoples discarded scraps, my treasure. Self sufficiency; offering endless empowerment if you want it, but some days watercolours and a dreamy imagination is enough. Hot grape juice, Tahini and Miso on toast, some things are engrained. wrap your apples in paper, no more than one layer, store them cold; dark; safe from prying eyes. Good and bad years for sweet chestnuts and apples, special sips of homemade bramble brandy. easy living summers and cruel winters, this year I will be hermitically sealed. More windows than wall with curtains that never close falling suns and rising moons playing out patterns across the ceiling, its dark in the woods, nothing sleeps now just me. Consumed by the woodland it grows around me, with me.
