I have had a long break from photography, but I now feel the time is right to get back into the saddle. I quite enjoy long walks in the beautiful Scottish countryside just me and my camera. I would also like to take up new areas of photography. I have had my digital camera for a few years now, and would love to learn how to use it to its best. I was always a 35mm man, however, being able to see my images almost immediately and not a chemical insight is brilliant. So if there is anyone out there who would like to take an old fart under their wing.
I am an ex service man, served 22yrs in Her Majesty RN Submarine Service. I had the honour to serve my country during the Falklands campaign actually down there for the whole of the fighting. One of my jobs on-board was as the periscope photography camera man, we used an Olympus OM1O. I then had to develop the images in a space as big as your cupboard under the stairs.
