My name is Debbie, I am the owner of Swanky Pins Retro Lingerie [link removed] which is based in Essex and my passion is the 1950’s. I grew up listening to my father’s old Bill Haley and Buddy Holly records and everything in my life since has revolved around the 50’s – the cars, bikes, clothing and music.  I love the glamour of the era – the women always seemed to look so ‘perfect’ – from glamorous pin-up girls and the stars of the big screen, to the ‘humble’ housewife, whose husband never came home to his wife cooking dinner in a towelling dressing gown, fleecy pyjamas and a large pair of animal shaped furry slippers.

The aim of Swanky Pins is to inspire both women and our male wearers of all ages, shapes, and sizes feel the best you possibly can by bringing a little glamour & elegance to whats beneath your everyday clothing.    Many of the designs are inspired by vintage pin-up style lingerie, deep 6, 8 or 10 strap suspender belts, waspies and girdles which I team with a variety of gorgeous seamed stockings.

I would love to work with some photographers and models who are as inspired with retro looks as I am.  I promote the names of all of my collaborative partners on my website, with links on FB, Twitter, Pinterest, Instagram etc.
