Welcome to our little space 

Studio H opened its doors officially in 2024

We’re currently a small 200 square foot private studio based in Sherbrook business centre, daybrook Nottingham 

About the team

The studio is run by Arran and Charlie (ajheysphotography) & Charliecarolinemodel 

Between us we have nearly 2 decades experience and want to provide a relevant space for those who are unable to run their own studio, we designed and aim to provide this space as personal and not commercial, there are already so many expensive traditional studios that operate on a commercial basis we aim to make our space your home for the time you’re here with us 

AJ takes care of the equipment and photography side of the studio and Charlie promotes our workshops, studio days and group shoots aswel as making herself available for any photographers wanting pop in and try out any new themes ideas or if you have a model cancellation you can book her for your project 

About the studio 

The studio is currently fairly small in comparison to most larger commercial spaces there is a one set space with 6 seamless rollers and a staged area for models. Studio H is located within Sherbrook business centre and is one of several units within a larger commercial building. 

The studio has no natural lighting or windows but our new studio will have several areas of natural lighting (coming June 2024) 

We have:

> Makeup desk with 80” touch sensitive Hollywood LED light mirror 

> Dressing room with wall mounted oil heater, ring light, sound activated storm cloud, and mirrored jewellery cabinet 

> 6X seamless backdrops current colours are 

2.72M Red, Yellow, White 

Approx 2M Baby Pink, Baby blue, Dark Brown 

Aprrox 30 themed backdrops including bed headboards, wood, floral, Halloween, Christmas, glitter plus many more 

> Bluetooth speaker ( but it’s not party time so please respect the neighbours) 

> Large fan, good for use with shooting aswel as keeping your cool 😎 

> 2X Ghost chairs 

> Wooden Stool 

> 2 Pink material stools 

> Brown leather bar stool

> Canon lenses - 16mm/24mm, 50mm, 24mm/105mm, 70mm/200mm

> Bowens attachments - Barns doors with gels, Snoot with honeycomb diffuser and coloured gels.

> 4.6m TetherPro USB 3.0 to Micro usb cable for tether/live shooting optional Mac mini (M1) or clients may use their own or laptops 

> Large Samsung screen

> 700W remote controlled RGB fog/smoke machine 

> Continuous bubble machine 

> Mechanics creeper ( perfect for rolling around for those low shots) 

Model Accessories 

There’s a range of clothing in different sizes but too many to list. Clothing ranges from Fashion, lingerie and boudoir aswel and many accessories such as chokers, gloves, hats, sunglasses to name a few 

There’s a reasonably stocked makeup desk with basics such as brushes, applicators other items include 

> Coloured temporary hair spray 

> Body paints 

> UV paints and pens 

> Body Glitters 

> Body glitter gels and sheens 

> Nail varnish and gels 

> A range of themed contact lenses like fire, colours, cats eyes 

> Over 100 makeup stencils for various makeup patterns to meet your themed shoots 

> Bronze, Silver and Gold body foil flake 
Plus much more. 

In the dressing room we have a wall mounted jewellery cabinet that has various chains, necklaces, bangles, rings, earrings, foot jewellery, rings, hair jewellery, crowns aswel as a good different shape and coloured nipple covers. Our cabinet is also lockable so should models be asked to remove wedding rings or other jewellery we encourage models to use the cabinet to keep their own jewellery safe. 

Other Props 

> 2 fake hand guns ( black + Black and green ) 

> Baseball bat wood plus a Harley Quinn bat.

> Several laced umbrellas 

> Various sizes, styled and coloured balloons plus inflator machine 

> Various string lights 

Facilities 

> Candy Corner - we keep it well stocked with chocolate bars, sweets, fizzy drinks, and lollies to make sure that our clients are well hydrated and keeping those blood sugar levels up 

> Tassimo - our pods include americano, mocha, latte, caramel latte, Cadbury hot chocolate and Cadbury orange hot chocolate 

> We have a kitchen on site with a mini fridge for anybody wanting to bring healthy snacks to keep cool or any medication that needs to be refrigerated

> We have both male and female toilets on site aswel as a disabled access toilet 

> 2X fan heaters for those colder days 

> 1 roof suspended, woven material swing (grey) 

>  The studio is completely private so once your session starts and door is shut nobody will bother you, the access is on a buzzer system so it’s completely safe and secure for any equipment you might wish to leave if you wish to leave the building to use local shops or even for a crafty cigarette break.
