The Studio:

This unique ever evolving creative space is situated within the grounds of the Albert and Victoria Hotel. Limited parking at the Hotel plus parking on the road outside free after 6pm small fee during the day. Plus, only a short walk from the railway station. The studio consists currently of 2 main sets, the first set being black matt back painted wall, with a 2nd a smaller white roller back drop. Coming soon other Backdrops and sets – just watch this space. Wi-Fi is available included in the hire at no additional cost The studio also has its own dedicated model changing facility with its own toilet plus an additional unisex toilet.

 Updates:

Due to the success of the Hotel the time has come to expand and create a bespoke creative space that allows us to keep doing what we do well, but to provide facilities to stretch and expand our creative minds. This has involved building two new bespoke timber buildings. Full studio facilities are now on offer.

Studio Hire:

The studio is available daily from 10am at a hire rate of £15 per hour (minimum booking 2 hours), Club Albert and Victoria members getting further discounted rates. Experienced lighting technicians are available to assist with lighting sets if required.

Resident Models:

The studio can be hired with or without one of our resident models as detailed on the links below and resident model’s folders below. Contact studio for inclusive model & studio rates.

Inhouse MUA:

The studio has its own in-house makeup artist that can be on hand prior to and during shoots to provide that specific or special looks in all styles of makeup, SFX, glam, bodypainting Contact the studio for details.

Visiting Models:

The studio offers various packages for visiting and touring models inclusive of accommodation and studio hire This can be adapted to create a bespoke package to cover your plans to maximize benefits from your stay with us. We regularly host touring model from both the UK and Europe, please contact us to discuss. 

Studio Equipment:

We have extensive lighting equipment support by Interfit 6 Battery and 6 Mains Flash Heads complete with universal triggers *. Interfit Constant Light Video Heads. Daylight flat panels, Wescott Optical Spot by Lindsay Adler with extensive selection of inserts. Grey, Black, Red, Green, Blue and White 3mx3m cloth backdrops plus other’s plain and patterned, paper backdrops.  Smoke machine, industrial fan, large selection of Soft Boxes, Umbrellas' 4 sets of barn doors with coloured gels and modifiers and a constantly changing array of props. 

Club / Group Workshop Events:

The studio is home to the Club Albert & Victoria with regular weekly club group nights and specialist workshops based around a maximum of 8 photographers to ensure a more relaxed atmosphere. Lesser experienced photographers can feel at ease trying new ideas or simply learning more about lighting, settings etc, less stressful for the model plus maximizes 1-2-1 time for the photographers. These will be predominantly on Wednesday nights  with specialist workshops on varying nights.

We believe there are no such thing as strangers just friends we have yet to meet!

*universal triggers – we are yet to find cameras with a hot shoe that are not supported
