References for Studio 2

Christian Chessell

I went to Studio 2's Christmas Fun shoot and saw their new set up for studio shoots. I was very impressed. Plus being the hobbyist photographer, Mark was on hand and offered me advice on how to set up the lights and what settings would suit for shooting a model in such conditions. Something I myself am trying to learn and find it all a bit mind bending. I would absolutely recommend Mark and Studio 2 for their professionalism and friendly atmosphere and hope to work with them again! I know I can learn a lot from these guys!

Isle photography

Used this studio a week ago. Amazing studio with everything you need, fully kitted out with professional equipment, full of refreshments as and when you need them, changing area for the model, nice and warm with a friendly environment, loved it and i will be returning ;)

First ever shoot there today, great well equipped studio with friendly, helpful & knowledgeable staff on hand to set things up if you need help.

Easy to get to with a short, inexpensive ferry crossing from Portsmouth Harbour station & then a short walk from the pier head.

Recommended & I will be shooting from there again because they have some great models lined up for studio days.

A superb little studio - a mere hop, skip and a jump from the ferry and just up from the chocolate shop. Studio 2 are welcoming, instructive and generous with their arrangements and knowledge sharing. Strongly recommended and hope to book in more studio time with touring models over the summer.

It's a bijou studio but brilliantly organised (and lovely and warm) with snacks and a mini fridge full of juice and water, with all the pro equipment you could imagine. It also has the most immaculate white coving I've ever seen; what I found particularly useful was the very faint joins underneath me gave me a kind of floor compass, which Is extremely fabulous for art nude work wherein angles are everything! Also it was wood, not concrete so a little kinder on the model. The loo is right next door which is ideal as models don't need to venture too far while scantily clad! The studios image right from the doorstep was professional, clean and of a high standard. There are some cool clothes available to model & a rather enticing sweetie shop round the corner! It's in a nice location, very well situated indeed being a short walk from the ferry terminal. There were various things this studio has that make it better than others.. you have a lot of scope for creative thinking in here, (albeit with certain limitations with space) I absolutely loved it and will definitely return.

Just had my first shoot at this studio. It is well equipped and the staff on hand are very friendly. I would certainly recommend it and am certain I will be shooting there again in the near future.

I had a shoot at Studio2 with Clayton Bastiani with a lighting tuition session from Mark. The studio is clean, warm and well equipped and Mark is very friendly and professional. Looking forward to shooting there again soon :)

I had a lovely little visit to Studio2 on my recent trip to the IOW!

It is a great studio to work at! I was looked after very well with plenty of snacks, tea and soft drinks and to top it all off - it is so warm in there!

Genuinely refreshing to go into a studio in winter and not be slightly cold! Huge bonus points for that one haha :)

Not only that but the people that use the studio and had booked onto my studio day were absolutely lovely - I really enjoyed my day and would more than happily go back!

I generally work out of Studio2 on the Island, and have also known Mark, the owner for a while now. I'm sure anyone working at this studio will find it well equipped and user friendly. I tend to use various props during my shoots and haven't had any issues setting up whatever I've needed to within this studio space. Mark is always on hand for any assistance too, if required. The studio is relatively new, but Mark is already embarking on arranging studio days etc, so hopefully others will give it the support it deserves. I already am and will continue to be a regular user for sure...

Natural Happy Woman

I have worked with Mark many times over the years, and even from that very first shoot the quality of the production was apparent, it is still easily in my top ten shoots ever. Mark is an artist, and has a natural eye and sense of style; aesthetics and beauty are important to him- he presents everything beautifully and is passionate about his work. The recently acquired studio is in keeping with this ethos- everything is lovely, the props are fabulous, and Mark is very positive about helping out and encouraging others to achieve their potential- a more genuine person you could not hope to meet. Ideal working conditions- I just wish we were on the same side of the water so I could use the studio more often- definitely worth the trip!

I recently had the joy of working at Studio2 after booking a shoot with Lulu Lockhart at one of their organized studio days. The studio provided a perfect setting for me to continue work on an ongoing project and I am very pleased with the results from my time there.

The studio is well equipped and suitable for many types of photography. The owner is friendly and available for help and advice.

I definitely will be using Studio2 again and hopefully develop my skills in studio based photography.

I worked at Studio2 during a mini-visit to the Isle Of Wight. The studio itself is within walking distance of the main transport links to the mainland- which is perfect for travelling models, as well as being well-equipped and versatile to work in. Mark made sure I was comfortable and well-supplied with tea, as well as being interesting to talk to and work with. I am greatly looking forward to returning in June/July :)

Ivory Flame

I modelled at Studio2 recently whilst on a working trip to the Isle of Wight - a fab, immaculate, well equipped creative space! The photographers I worked with there captured a range of looks, from bright high key, to eye catching silhouettes, artistic side lighting and dramatic lighting from above, and were really pleased with their images. Lots of possibilities here, and Mark is so friendly and accommodating - a lovely person to work with. I can definitely recommend this studio and hope to work there again soon!

Faith Starr Model

Had the pleasure of working at studio2 during my first visit to the Isle of Wight. Such an amazing studio with generous space, character and lots of props to play with. Mark himself is a true artist with loads of creative instinct. We spent all day in the studio working from one concept to the next. I was well looked after during my trip on the island and accommodated. So looking forward to my next Isle of Wight tour and working at the studio again. Very very highly recommended!
