I've been a professional photographer for all of my working life and I was an Ilford Master Printer. Professionally, I specialise in portrait photography, particularly headshots for actors, models and business as well as fashion, hair and beauty.  I also lecture in photography at a Scottish college.  I still love to work with black and white film and print in the darkroom. Working on film is expensive so there's not much call for me to do that commercially these days. It is beautiful and special so it's something I always try to do in my personal work.

For the past year I have been working with one model (not on here) on a narrative led project using 35mm black and white film. That project is a work in progress still. I do have another idea, still in the thinking stage, to work with fabulous lighting and several models. This time it will be on medium format black and white film. The prints I make in the darkroom from film are beautiful and very different from anything produced electronically. I will contact models directly when my idea has fully formed.
