Greetings and a warm welcome to you!

I am a passionate hobbyist photographer with several decades of experience in capturing beautiful and artistic images. I have been taking photographs since I was ten years old, and I am confident in my ability to deliver high-quality results from every shoot.

My portfolio is quite editorial in style, and my other passions include street and travel photography which gives my shoots a quite spontaneous feel: the best image are not always the ones that are planned. I strive to take pictures that capture a moment in time, convey a feeling, and create something unique.

I work in both digital and film formats (although I think I'm always trying to make digital look like film)  and I enjoy shooting on location as well as in a studio. I approach my work with dedication and professionalism, and I take pride in delivering photographs that capture the unique essence of each individual.

Current Projects

As I begin the journey to transition from photographer to artist with a camera I am developing a body of work centred around four themes:

Trying to be human

Surrealism (this is embryonic and somewhat 'experimental') but is in part inspired by the work of Francesca Woodman.

I'm also studying the works of Helmut Newton, I like his simple lighting style!

Finally, I'm building up a set of images that use Vladimir, an old Russian Jupiter 8 lens that produces images with a soft texture and tonality that is can only describe as 'vanilla ice cream'
