I had my first shoot with Sophie Merlo Photography today. I have to say that Sophie was brilliant, and her professionalism showed through. Sophie new exactly what she wanted from the shoot, and her direction throughout was absolutely brilliant. The whole shoot was conducted in a comfortable, and relaxed manner, with the emphasis being on obtaining the best images. The shoot was carried out at a Burnham on Sea location, and the style was a sexy/fashion shoot. I can assure any model that shoots with Sophie will not be disappointed with the end results. I am really looking forward to see the edited images. I hope to shoot with Sophie again in the not to distant future.

The Actor

I was immensely honoured to receive a call from Sophie asking me to shoot with her again. Just like my last shoot with her, she was lots of fun, had some inspirational ideas and gave very clear instructions. The style of the shoot was very much my kind of thing and I am very excited to see how those photos turn out. If even half as good as the last lot I will be thrilled.

Sophie is an absolute artist and I cannot wait for my next opportunity to work with her again. x

The Actor

Today was my first (and I hope of many) shoot with Sophie. She already had so many great ideas that expanded as the shoot progressed. Great direction, full of positivity and enormous fun. I cannot wait to bring more projects to life with her. :)

Had the privilege of working with this lovely lady today. Full of character and personality, Sophie is great fun to work with and she's so down to Earth you can't help but feel comfortable and start cracking jokes within minutes of meeting her. She turned up early to the studio, her pre comms were great and she's full of ideas to make regular concepts more interesting!

Her work is absolutely beautiful and she gave great direction to help improve poses that weren't working and to (very kindly) try to get the most flattering image possible. She's not afraid to make things a bit weird and have fun with ideas too and I had a right laugh shooting with her! She very kindly brought along some props and a cute little vintage dress for me to use and now I have a signature noise for a certain facial expression courtesy of Sohpie! I'd recommend her 100% and really hope I can work with her again in the future!

Thanks for crossing the bridge to shoot me Sophie, I had a total blast shooting with you and can't wait to see the final images!

Sophie visited our studio today to shoot Jordaaan for the second time, and was a total joy to have around. She was great with Jordan throughout, offering lots of useful advice, to both her and us, regarding the studio - which we hope to have ready for May.

We’re looking forward to having Sophie visit us again in the future, and wouldn’t hesitate in recommending her to others.

I must admit when Sophie agreed to work with me was simple a massive honour. She is so talented and artistic. She knows exactly what she wants and most of all she is so kind and lovely. First shoot with Sophie today & I absolutely loved it!

I've admired her work for a long time, she's just so artistic & creative so I was totally thrilled when she suggested we work together, along with two other models. I was a little nervous beforehand as I hadn't worked with other models before but I needn't have worried, Sophie is just so lovely, kind & down to earth - it was a really relaxed shoot & she is very encouraging. I'm super excited to see the images.

Sunday February 12th saw me working for the first time with Sophie as - together with skycladpixie and Monishine - we aimed to update Grant Wood's 'American Gothic' to make it chime with the tone of Trump's America.

Sophie's reputation of course preceded her, and it is easy to see why she is as well thought of as she is when you see her up close advising and guiding, cajoling and encouraging all of us to make a timely statement as well as an experience which was as thoroughly enjoyable as it was hugely rewarding.

I'd love to work with Sophie again and would urge others thinking of doing the same to make the most of any opportunity that comes your way.

I have done a couple of photoshoots with Sophie and she's so nice and chilled out. She's always made me feel really relaxed and I've enjoyed the photoshoots a lot. She has lots of ideas but is also willing to listen to any that I have.

She's reliable and is always on time and and she's just a really lovely person.

Her photos are so beautiful, she really is an excellent photographer and I would work with her anytime because I always know she will get amazing photographs.

I had a wonderful shoot with Sophie, it was really exciting and we explored lots of ideas. She gives great direction and knows what she is looking for but was also very happy for me to try out different moves.

We did quite a few shots outside and whilst she was concerned if I was warm enough, she didn’t seem to notice the cold herself – she was very much in the zone and this enthusiasm was confidence building.

She’s very kind, patient and has some great ideas. I would love to work with Sophie again and would highly recommend her to anyone. Thank you Sophie, I can’t wait to see the photos.

This was the first time that I have worked with Sophie. She is it not only a great photographer but her directing skills are very precise and she has a great way of communicating on set. She has a clear vision of what she wants to achieve in the shot but she leaves the models plenty of room to bring in your own creativity and is always open for new suggestions. You can tell straight away that she has a lot of experience and she makes you feel very comfortable in front of the camera. I can highly recommend working with her!

I dunno .... this was like meeting an old friend ... relaxed, open to ideas but firm enough to reject the ones she didn't think were worthwhile. An absolute pleasure to work with - the afternoon just threw up so much but in a quiet, unassuming way.

I had another great shoot (Our fourth) with Sophie Merlo last weekend..

I have been looking do something in water for a while and we had discussed this idea at the end of our last shoot..

With a little sun in the sky we set off in search of the perfect location. Sophie had somewhere in mind although finding the destination was to prove adventurous..

Little beknown to her was my acute fear of open water so when we encountered a lake things were initially challenging. Sophie remained calm, patient and supportive. And once I found the courage to get into the cold lake she was composed in capturing some great shots.

This was another groundbreaking shoot for me and one I am pleased that I conquered thanks to Sophie.

I always looking forward to working with Sophie and highly recommended her :-)
