Finally, it happened! It was a wet and windy evening in Oldham when Steve welcomed me to his studio to shoot some wonderfully creative photography. A huge fan of Robert Mapplethorpe, it was no surprise that was where we started: "Stand right there, would you, keep your clothes on for now but just get your dick out of your trousers and look right into my camera". Hard to object, really. Then, we worked our way through a series of exceptionally creative moods and sequences - Steve specialises in portraying the nude male body in its most natural form, always emphasising the intriguing shapes and angles a naked man can create. Bravo Steve - a singular joy to work with you.

Sir G and I have been chatting almost a year through various lock downs after a really fun virtual shoot in 2020! So I jumped into the car, headed Manchester way and then the fun commenced! This was cracking shoot with ideas, water (!!) and chit chat bouncing all over the place and initial results are great! Thanks for a fun shoot and hope our paths cross again!

Had a real fun shoot - lots of chat and giggles throughout. 2hrs planned - 3hrs later but when it’s working you just go with it. Absolute pleasure - so relaxed felt like we had known each other years

In order to actually do some shooting, Steve and I managed to work together on an online shoot, not the way either of us would normally work but an interesting experiment. Steve was professional, lots of fun and let me be creative with my own ideas. The lead up to the shoot was good too, sharing ideas and thinking about the technical aspects. I think the resulting images are great - due to the way they were taken, they have an almost voyeuristic feel to them. Highly recommend working with Steve and look forward to doing more with him once we can meet in person.

This was a bit of a lockdown experiment - I approached Steve having seen he had done some remote work and wondered if it might work for us - he kindly agreed. We booked the shoot for this evening and had a great pre shoot conversation so I was well prepared!
