Working with Matthew was an complete and utter joy! He is a true gentleman of model photographers and I have so many wonderful memories of the gorgeous pictures we created during our shoot together in Cork on my most recent tour of Ireland. :)

In terms of pre-shoot communications, Matthew’s couldn’t have been better. He was one of the first photographers in the country to get in touch direct when he saw I was due to be coming over, and his excellently well-organised approach was exactly what every model hopes for when planning a complex shooting trip. :D He was clear and concise in the styles he wanted to shoot, both before the event and when we eventually met. He replied promptly relative to me planning my travels from Dublin to Cork and gave me plenty of directions/information about getting to the studio which I was due to be visiting for the first time. It was just off to a positive start which is always great before you’ve even taken your first pictures.

Then, the shoot itself further stretched out the immensely positive vibes and we had a wonderful half-day session creating gorgeous daylight-lit artistic images working tremendously well together. :) Matthew is considerably courteous and respectful of the models input/contribution to a shoot and operates at a non-rushed pace including several breaks to allow us to review the images and bounce off further ideas... He has a heart of gold and is an all-round lovely person. I felt so comfortable working with him from the very first moment of meeting/greeting - he subsequently looked after me very well and even insisted on buying me lunch during our time which I would never expect! When you work with someone like Matthew, you really do feel appreciated as a model and there’s no denying that tours are energy-demanding so when such generous unsolicited gestures like this are made: they certainly do not go unnoticed and I’ll shout about it from the rooftops! :) A true professional so Matthew is!

I just loved the work we were producing too, Matthew knows exactly how to capture a beautiful moment and will work the angles with the models pose to achieve the best possible image. He has his own creative visions as a photographer but welcomes the model to flow in their own innovative way and work the moment which creates a good balance of everyone being a part of the creative process. He works natural light conditions outstandingly - conditions which are known for random change of which the photographer must be conscious of - he totally rocked it!!

I enjoyed my first time meeting and working with Matthew recently on my first ever studio day at Platform 3 in Cork. Matthew picked me up from my hotel for an early start and we had a fun filled shoot that flew by so quickly.

Matthew is such a gentleman, he is articulate, professional, friendly and was always making sure I was warm enough or had plenty to eat/drink, as soon as we arrived at the studio he began setting up and let me get my stuff ready. We chatted about our plan for the shoot, Matthew came up with some lovely ideas and we achieved some beautiful portrait and art nude images together.

Giving great direction and happy to let my poses freely flow also between us we clicked which resulted in a relaxed but productive shoot

I would not hesitate to work with Matthew again and I highly recommend him to all creatives. He is full of passion and was very enthusiastic. You will have a lovely time with interesting conversation and produce some wonderful art.

Matthew booked 4 hours on my studio day at Platform 3, I really enjoyed spending those 4 hours. In his company, he is a delightful man with a fun sense of humour and he had some cool ideas for images. The entire shoot was a collaboration of 2 minds as it should be and the images on the back of camera looked great.

I've worked with Matthew a few times now over the years including recently at Platform 3 Studio in the centre of Cork. He is friendly, polite, considerate and respectful to your levels and ideas. Pleasant to chat with and easy going, the shoot time flew by and we were able to achieve a range of styles (and also managed to watch and listen to a bit of the Royal Wedding in the background which was fun!). He had some cool inspirations and it was great to review images together to modify poses and lighting. I would be happy to work with Matthew again in the future!

This was actually my second shoot with Matthew whilst being in Ireland. The first occasion Matthew travelling all the way up to Belfast to shoot at Catchlight studio, where I met him for our first shoot.

This time I was a little closer in Dublin and he travelling to me and we worked in my accommodation.

As before comms were fabulous and Matthew is always very relaxed when it comes to planning shoots, he always comes with a few rough ideas and then just lets the shoot flow from there.

This worked really well and we settled into shooting after having a good catch up & giggle!

Matthew worked really well within the unknown space using both natural light and flash. We shot some really relaxed nudes and portraits.... I absolutely loved them!...

I would certainly recommend Matthew to other models, he comes with a portfolio and is always respectful of models levels and comfort.
