Update: December 2021

Thank you to everyone who has worked with me since I joined PP in 2017. I'm anticipating returning to photography and getting some shoots booked in 2022. My hiatus from photography was longer than I expected it to be, but I'm looking forward to catching up with some familiar faces, meeting some new ones, and hopefully making some new friends along the way.

About me:

I am a hobbyist photographer, based in Portsmouth, and have been interested in photography ever since I was given an Instamatic camera on my 12th birthday, over *cough* years ago. Despite being a bit of an old gothic metalhead (playing drums is another of my hobbies), I like to capture all kinds of imagery, from bright & colourful, through to deep, dark and alternative.

Equipment:

I shoot with a rather old Canon 400D, and a standby Sony bridge camera (just in case), plus a couple of different sets of lighting gear. Besides the photographic gear, I play drums and am happy to use either of my two drum kits as props. My purple "Mapex" kit is the prettier of the two, and you can see this on a shoot I did with Poppy Haskell (check out my folders section), so if you're a model that would like to shoot with drums, get in touch.

Locations:

I don't have my own studio, so I generally shoot outside, or wherever is available or interesting. I know a lot of interesting places all around the south of England ranging from gritty urban settings, abandoned places, beaches, countryside and more. I mainly shoot TFP, and I tend not to overly process my images. I prefer to get the shots as naturally right as I can on the day, with maybe just a bit of simple post-production filtering if it helps. I have a few shoot ideas that I will be looking to try and realise when the time is right that I will likely be put out as paid castings.

Policies, etc...

I know that some people have cancellation policies, chaperone policies, limitations on times & availability, and of course boundaries on what kind of levels they are comfortable working to. If you're a model that works with me, please have no fears about raising these for discussion and clarity with me. I think that photography should be enjoyable for everyone involved, and I think if either model or photographer aren't comfortable on a shoot then this translates into the images captured. I also have a day job that I need to prioritise myself, so I always bear these things in mind whenever I work with anyone, and there is nothing that clear honest communication and mutual respect between people can't overcome.

I drive, and am more than happy to travel reasonable distances for a shoot. I'm more than happy to discuss transport for anyone I'm working with too if this helps. I'm covid vaccinated (x2+booster) and do regular LFTs for my day job.
