Had an amazing shoot with Michael this morning!

We're lucky to live very close and managed to arrange an early morning shoot in an industrial area of Sheffield. Michael's pre-coms were clear and he knew several locations to shoot, some amazing places I didn't know existed!

We got on really well during the shoot, Michael is friendly and encouraging. He had loads of ideas on shoot and was happy for me to suggest styling/posing too. Even though we had some issues with the weather Michael was happy to keep going and we got some amazing shots :)

Would love to work with Micheal again in the future and would defiantly recommend him! Thanks again for a great shoot :)

Amazing shoot with Michael being my first one after Lockdown. I felt comfortable and enjoyed his style of shooting and creativity. He helped me with direction and pose as I was rusty from a long break. The finished products (photos) were beautiful and I cannot recommend him enough as a photographer.

Second shoot with the lovely Michael!

We did a few hours of dance photography down in Sheffield City Centre. Michael had scouted a fantastic urban location for us which allowed me to let loose on my creativity!

This is the first dance shoot Michael has done and he did INCREDIBLY well!! By the end of the shoot he was seeing the same things that I look for on the back of the camera from a dance perspective. He perfectly captured one of the hardest dance jumps I can do (this is NOT an easy snap, even for a seasoned dance photographer). He was fabulous to work with and was great at communicating throughout. As usual, Michael was a pleasure to work with. Very professional, made me feel at ease and is super friendly. Michael had some brilliant ideas, but he was also happy to let me throw shapes and take charge of wardrobe.

Can't wait to see the end results :)

So glad I got to shoot with Michael again. Hope we get to shoot again soon :)!

Really enjoyable day and found Mike to be very easy going and fun. We had a great day and he also came to my organised group shoot after our one to one shoot. I'm a fan of Mike and his work and really would recommend him. He was very keen to work with us all and all of my models spoke highly of him and the photos produced were mint. Michael is great with communication both before and during our shoot.

The shoot was so enjoyable and he got some really great shots! Even if we did almost melt and get eaten alive by bugs haha!

I shot with Michael six months ago. Before then I had never posed for a real photographer in my life except for school picture day. I'd posted a few tripod selfies with the vague idea of maybe trying to do a fashion blog. Those early efforts were enough for Michael to take notice and invite me to work with him. So there I was all dressed up and meeting a stranger off the internet for the explicit purpose of having my photo taken and trying to make some art!

You can imagine how giddy and scared I was. Honestly I had no idea what I was doing, I'd never done anything like it. Michael was so patient, instructive, charming, careful, and clear - in a word: professional. He made me feel at ease and didn't patronise or treat me like a noob at all. He had prepared distinctive ideas and knew how to achieve them, and he was also ready to try my suggestions. The creative relationship was free and improvisational in the best sense, like a jazz duo communicating with their musical instruments. And he brought bags of technical skill, which almost goes without saying at this point, but make no mistake – this man knows what he’s doing with a camera.

So would I recommend working with Michael? Absolutely. Would I like to work with him again? You bet!

It was my first time shooting through PurplePort, and my first time shooting with Micheal.

Micheal was very communicative, gave great direction, was very kind and easy to talk to. He showed me the photos consistently on the back of his camera to show me what worked so that we could achieve high quality and aesthetic shots, and I was very happy with what I saw!

He knew many great locations around Sheffield and kept the photoshoot fresh and interesting by switching to different places within close walking distance. He was very organised and creative, had lots of original and inspiring ideas, and maintained a relaxed and fun atmosphere throughout the shoot.

Had my first shoot with Michael today after I replied to his casting. I'm glad I did, comms were spot on the shoot was booked and planned with ease. Michael is full of unique creative ideas, which led us to create some stunning images within minutes. Great with the technical side of photography, images are spot on straight off the camera. Felt 100% safe and comfortable throughout the shoot, and conversation flowed easily. I'm having a hard time choosing the best images as they are all fantastic. Thank you, and look forward to working with you again soon.

I had my first shoot with Michael at my home :) We focused on portraiture for a couple of hours.

It was Michael's first time shooting a model in this capacity and I have to say I was so impressed!

Some photographers have told me that transitioning to model photography can be quite hard and different to other styles of photography, but with Michael you'd never be able to tell! I was so happy with what I saw on the back of the camera and can't wait to see the final images. Michael did a bang up job :)

Aside from his photography skills, Michael's shoot etiquette was spot on. His pre coms were great, he turned up on time and was an absolute joy to work with. Michael's communication with me throughout the shoot was perfect and allowed us both to work together to get the right images. And he was just lovely in general!

I hope he can build up some more references on here and get the credit he deserves :)

I hope that we can shoot again soon :)!
