I had a great photoshoot with this photographer today. It was an underwater photoshoot, so I was very excited about it. David made me feel comfortable, definitely knew how to take photos underwater and gave me helpful tips during the shoot. We ended up with lots of different looks and very creative ideas, and it was a great fun. I loved every minute of the photoshoot and it was an amazing experience which I want to repeat! David is definitely a talented photographer and a respectful gentleman, so highly recommend him to any model! Thank you for this awesome photoshoot!

I had such a great shoot with dave today.

I was very nervous beforehand because it was underwater photography which I'd never done before unless you count whilst snorkeling! Lol

Dave did his level best to reassure me in pre coms and I knew I would be totally safe with him.

When I got there I knew straight away that we would hit it off, he's easy going, easy to chat with, you just feel like old mates straight away.

He had a great range of props, fantastic actually, I was so impressed and the dress we used at the start was just stunning.

Dave really understands the technical side of photography, that's obvious to see, he's great with lighting and the shots in the back of the camera were just brilliant. I was so happy with what we were producing as we went along.

We had a couple of mishaps along the way with me feeling a little poorly but this didn't faze dave in the slightest and it made me feel so much better that he was so chilled out with everything and we just adapted the shoot round me feeling a little peaky.

I would also just like to say that dave is very respectful on a shoot, making sure at all times that I was OK and happy. Probably one of the most respectable photographers I have shot with so would have no hesitation in recommending him to new models as well as more established ones.

I really really enjoyed shooting with dave. I love his ideas, his creativity, his photography skills and I hope this is the start of a great creative journey for us and that we have many more shoots together. Thanks Dave x

I had a brilliant first shoot with David at the weekend! Conversation flowed and communication prior the shoot was spot on! He made me feel extremely comfortable from the very start by offering me drinks and asking if I was warm enough! I think we have managed to capture some great shots together and I can’t wait to see the finished pieces! I couldn’t thank him enough for looking after me as I was under the weather that day. I would 100% recommend David! I can’t wait to shoot with him again!

Had a really fun shoot on Friday with this guy! What an ace photographer. We had such a laugh and got some fab shots..we can't even whittle the images down from around 50 shots 😂 we got alot done in short amount of time, everything flowed so nicely and would definitely shoot with David again. Dave has an amazing sense of humour and as my first attempt I was a little anxious. I needn’t have been as he made me feel totally relaxed and coached me with poses, looks etc and I couldn’t of been happier with him as a photographer and mentor. His music taste is also fabulous! He arranged a shoot at thornwick bay and despite me been in a bikini I had an amazing day and left with some amazing shots and feeling really happy and a lot more confident! Strongly recommend dave and his work!

Worked with David Trowell for the first time today. I've known Dave for around a year so communication was already good and even better on the shoot. Dave showed very good direction with shots he wanted to gain and has lots of ideas, very encouraging and humorous too. Would definitely recommend and definitely work with again.

Lovely gentleman who shot my model and other bodypaint models in the group at Scifi Scarborough. He did a fab job. Patiently awaited the makeup process to be complete. Did not rush the artists. Respectful of the models, artists and public. Preformed well under pressure of the public. E.g. shoot was taken on a back drop for all public to see and public stood next to David with their own cameras and he carried on like a pro. Would highly recommend this lovely photographer.

I had the brilliant pleasure of shooting with David for Vicky Burns' Exposure Events last week at YorkPhoto Studio.

David was an absolute star throughout the evening, he was clear about what he wanted to achieve so I could do my best to get him those shots, when I was doing en pointe work he made sure to work quickly so I wasn't on my toes for too long which was very kind. I can happily recommend David and hope yo work with him again the future.

David and Bob arrived at a studio day I had organised with Rachel drew and they had booked a 4 hour session with us.

They both arrived promptly and were very friendly from the get go.

I had such a laugh with both of them which completely broke the ice whilst shooting which created a lovely and laid back atmosphere. they made me feel completely at ease throughout the whole shoot . We produced some really nice images whilst having a giggle and a chat at the same time - everything you want from a shoot! Would 100 percent recommend and look forward to working with them both again soon for future projects! :)

David is kind, friendly and professional which really helps to create a comfortable working environment. David has lots of input and ideas of his own in regards to styling and shots but is also very happy to listen to and incorporate other's ideas.
