Art and Photography have been a passion of mine since the age of 10 when I started taking pictures with my Dad's old box brownie. In school I majored in Art and Drama then worked as an actor for about 30 years, traveling all over England, Scotland, Northern Ireland, also New York, LA and Hawaii. During that time, I also took headshots for actors I knew and for quite a few others who liked what I did or for a while was a successful portrait photographer. When I began to work more in film and television my workload meant I dropped photography except as a hobby and a way of recording my travels. Since leaving the film industry in 2007 I taught A-level photography and was pleased that the students found my enthusiasm for the subject contagious. After retiring I joined a camera club and found a passion for producing Still Life images in the style of the Dutch Masters of the 17th century   Having made the switch from film to digital I was invigorated by the art again and now, although passionate about my painterly work, am looking to spread my wings and explore all other types of photography such as fashion, boudoir, etc.

I have modified my garage to give me a small but useable studio space and there are several parks nearby that give plenty of location options but am happy to travel reasonable distances to work with the right people. I love to shoot with natural light, but I also have a wide variety of lighting rigs for the studio including LED and Flash.
