I had the honour and pleasure of working with Roxy Mendez for a shoot last Saturday at her home studio as arranged in conversations with Kacie James. Pre-shoot comms were easy, prompt and to the point and Roxy gave me 'several' different directions on the day of how to find her place! Ok, I got a little lost myself! I'd done a girl/girl shoot before, but not to erotic nude levels, but I knew working with two models well versed in the art and great friends, comfortable in the genre would more than compensate for any fault on my part and also make for a very relaxed working environment filled with natural chemistry between the two (I've now also worked with Kacie 3 times).

Roxy is a great model to work with; very relaxed, open to ideas and happy to repeat a pose or look when asked but needs little direction in creating the look or pose in the first place. She makes for a great hostess when shooting at her home, welcoming me as if a long friend and even asking me the day before if I needed anything for lunch or drinks. She was also very helpful with lights set up and flash syncing when an unexpected hiccup arose.

Of the day, we had plenty of giggles, but the serious stuff was seriously awesome from both models. I look forward to working with Roxy again either as a duo with Kacie again or on her own and continuing with a lot of the ideas left on the table for another time.

I keep getting ideas for shoots with Roxy and she always delivers just what I want.

This time I asked for an intense, dark, moody very erotic theme and she gave me some terrific shots.

She doesn't seem to mind that I don't make her look good but throws herself into each set and comes up with brilliant ideas to push things along.

Communications are always correct and she arrives on time with the clothes, make up and hair, just as requested.

She is great fun to work with but she is also totally serious about getting results.

Another shoot with Roxy, I love this girl! As ever her communication was great, she turned up on time and was an absolute pleasure to work with even though she told me she wasn't feeling 100% you would never have known! She put her all into the shoot and was bubbly and full of enthusiasm all the way through. Her other half and drvier was far from being a distraction really helpful in helping me set up. Despite Roxy having the figure and looks of a godess she has nothing even resembling an ego. I'm always teasing her and she just laughs it off every time. She is so easy to get on with, we laughed and joked through a 6 hour shoot and time just flew. Can't recommend her enough!

I have just had my umpteenth shoot with Roxy - this time a fun/odd shoot at Stirchley Bowling Alley.

I gave her some general ideas as to the feel of the shoot and she came with exactly the outfits I wanted.

We did some 40s sort of Pin up and other ideas, way outside my comfort zone and Roxy got it spot on while being her funny, amiable and beautiful self.

Apart from the fact that at one stage in the planning, she seemed convinced we were going to Spetchley, which could have been interesting, everything went perfectly. But that's just Roxy, so what!

I am sure it won't be long before I have an idea for a shoot that needs someone just like Roxy and I will be getting in touch with her asking if she would like to join me. You all should ask her the same question.

Roxy was a pleasure to work with. I'm a beginner so I wasn't able to offer much input but Roxy put together a series of poses that flattered my camera skills! I would definitely work with Roxy again.

Creative Nonsense

I've just returned from another great shoot with Roxy at Paul's Studio in Reading.

It is always a great pleasure to work with Roxy as not only has she got a pretty face and great figure but she is such fun to work with too.

Her sense of humour is captivating and I'm sure helps put less-experienced shooters at ease. I've not laughed so much in a long time.

That aside Roxy takes her work VERY seriously, works incredibly hard the whole time and nothing is too much trouble. You really can't fault her work ethic.

If you are looking for a fun, flexible and very experienced model who will do all she can to make your ideas come alive then you would do a lot worse than book Roxy.

Highly recommended and can't wait until next time.

I had a very productive shoot with Roxy at Paul's studio. There was excellent communication prior to the shoot and Roxy was very responsive throughout. At the studio, I found Roxy to be very easy going and most importantly a lot of fun to work with. She has a wonderful body shape and flawless tanned skin which I gather, comes from her spanish heritage. This lady has a wide repertoire of poses and can produce great angles and shapes with or without my input. A true professional, that I am definitely looking forward to work with again. Heartily recommended!

I worked with Roxy at Ariane studio on a fun gunge shoot.. Excellent model all round.. Easy to work with, lovely personality and Fabulous looks to match.. I wouldn't hesitate recommending Roxy to all photographers and models out there and I do hope we get to shoot again sometime in the near future.. Thanks Roxy you were a Star :) xxx

I had my first shoot with Roxy this morning, and I have to say that the whole experience of working with her was beautiful, from start to finish.

The pre-shoot comms were brilliant.......if the pre-shoot was brill, then the shoot was even better.

Roxy is a really lovel persony; warm and friendly. Unpretentious, and eager to work towards the goal of getting the desired shots.

I was so impressed, and I'm definitely going to be booking Roxy again.

Roxy's experience stands out for miles! She pulls poses out of thin air and a complete natural. Had a 2 hour shoot from her home and got some amazing images thanks to her top class modelling skills!

There's no point in me adding more to this review as it's all been said by everyone else on this list, so I have nothing original to add.

Thoroughly recommend and will try to book again in the future when I am in the area again.

I have worked with Roxy a few times now - this time at a weekend event in Wales organised by Pauls studio.

Our group was allocated half a day to shoot with her, as always she is fun to work with (and on one occasion had to suspend shooting for a minute while we all composed ourselves). Roxy is very talented and professional about achieving the results that we were looking for...

I shot with the lovely Roxy at Pauls studio Wales weekend on Saturday and Sunday. She was an absolute delight to work with and very helpful with poses and ideas which was great as it was only my second shoot. We did a mixture of styles but mostly did art nude, I've some great shots of her on top of an old Beetle and by a woodland stream to add to some stunning lingerie shots outside. She says she doesn't get a chance to do art nude much but I'd shoot her again, she was up for going into the river to get some shots but we were a bit unsure as it was pretty cold and was even colder in there river as I was crazy enough to wade in to get some better angles. I must try to shoot her again in a similar location when it's warmer. She was a star and soldiered through when she slipped on a mossy log and scratched her back to add to all the mud she had to trek through.

One of the other models was ill on Sunday when we were scheduled to shoot with her and Roxy was able to step in so we didn't miss out, I got some great boudoir shoots plus some more art nude to add to the shots from the previous day. We had a good laugh with her feeding some of the pigs on the estate during a break, I enjoyed the shoots immensely and would love to shoot with her again.

Had my first shoot with Roxy at Glynhir Estate, which was arranged through Pauls Studio.

A very professional good looking model, ouses confidence great poses very understanding when trying to cater for a group of 3 photographers and some good outfits.

I was able to Photograph Roxy on 2 separate half day shoots and despite the cold and mud she did an excellent job and some stunning images were captured.

Met Roxy for the first time at the Wales Glamour Weekend organised by Pauls Studio. Roxy is great fun to work with and very professional. Very pleased with the images she gave me. I would recommend Roxy anytime.

after first having met Roxy about 3 years ago, I finally got the chance to work with her. I was not disappointed. Roxy was fab, her poses were natural, nothing was too much trouble. This, coupled with her chatty personality made for a superb shoot. I would definitely work with Roxy again.

I worked on a group shoot with Roxy today, having missed many an opportunity in the past. She was a delight to work with; great to get on with; easy to get the right pose with - all round an excellent experience. I worked mostly on art nude style shots with her, and I can say that her claim above to like working at art nude and being good at it is absolutely the case. I'm really annoyed at missing out on those previous opportunities. Really looking forward to sorting through the shots!

Had a week of shoots in Portugal with Roxy had a great time and got some great pictures.pictures. Roxy has lots of ideas for poses and is not afraid of trying something different. It's was great to work with someone who really enjoys what they do and throws themselves into it. (literally)

I had my second shoot with Roxy today and for part of the time Mille Benson. Roxy is a great person to work with, a real professional with a good sense of humour so the time flew by. She has a lovely house to shoot in with some great light in it.

I thoroughly enjoyed the session with Roxy as she is a real hard worker and easy to work with. I would completely recommend her as you cannot fail to great some great shots with her.

I can also recommend a joint session with her and Millie as you will really have a fun time with these two wonderful models. Thanks for all your efforts. Colin x
