Very enjoyable and productive first shoot with Rosie - on location, at York rail station, on a windy rainy January morning.

Rosie had replied to my initial enquiry very quickly, then after that, all of her communications were friendly, prompt, concise and businesslike. It made organising a shoot very easy. She'd checked the weather forecast. She even warned me just before meeting that she was going to be early!

I'd asked her to look at my recent pictures to get an idea of the sort of look I wanted to achieve, and she completely got it. Rosie might be relatively new to modelling but she knew her craft, and instinctively had a feel for the clothes, hairstyle, poses, expressions and backdrops that would work for the moody grainy mono photography I love so much. This was very much a collaboration.

My time with Rosie was such a pleasure. She's extremely intelligent, she was funny, open and interesting to talk with. We had laughs and fun conversations over coffee. She's obviously very committed to modelling, and takes it seriously, which is great news for photographers. Highly recommended.

It's very rare that I do a last minute shoot these days... if I have a free day it's usually because I have decided I need to catch up with life/editing/etc. However, when on Friday I spotted Rosie on here and reached out, and she mentioned that she was free the next day there was only ever going to be one outcome, and I am so glad I managed to squeeze her in.

Rosie turned up on time and with a handful of outfits, and a great deal of enthusiasm and excitement. I think the latter was mainly because I had told her she could have a rummage through my collection of outfit items for our shoot.

Rosie has only done a handful of shoots, and as such is still learning the craft. She poses well, although being quite new to this it can occasionally lack fluidity, but it was soon very evident to me that she is a fast learner and is keen to do well as a model. She takes direction very well, and is happy to retry poses if she/we felt that they could be improved once we had analysed the images on the back of the camera.

Rosie has a fabulous, natural, fresh look ( and a lovely, flawless complexion) and I am so glad I managed to get a shoot in early in what I expect will be a successful modelling career, as I foresee her being very busy over the coming months. She also has a delightful, bubbly personality and it was a real joy to shoot with her and talk with her about her plans and ambitions.

I am very much hoping we get to do another shoot later in the year. Definitely recommended!

Rosie joined me for an outdoor evening shoot around Leicester Square and Piccadilly Circus in central London. Pre-shoot comms were excellent, she was fully prepared, and we got started a few minutes early. She had the patience of a saint as I worked to achieve a certain look, which was eluding me early in the process, although I think we got there in the end. She didn't complain about the cold January weather and was fully engaged throughout. I really enjoyed working with Rosie would certainly hope to get the chance again in the future. It's a privilege to submit her first PP review, and I'm sure many more positive reviews will follow. Highly recommended!
