Richard Davies Photography

I initially took up photography back 2011 and found portraiture captivated me the most, with that becoming my primary love in terms of photographic genres. I'm lucky to live in the beautiful Chilterns and most of what I shoot is here from home, or outside in the rural beauty spots local to me in Buckinghamshire. Originally my profile was 'September Studios' since that was the name of my studio location here at home. Over time though I've decided that my photography is better branded to me, rather than a studio name and hence the re-write of the profile.

I like to mix my lighting styles and enjoy being creative with natural light just as much as utilising the studio lights and modifiers. Mixing the two techniques to create images that are truly striking and imaginative is also something that I really enjoy. I'm lucky to have a nice location here to shoot from that provides fantastic indoor and outdoor locations to experiment with. My location is in a small village between High Wycombe and Princess Risborough. While it is accessible via public transport, it's much easier to travel here if you have a car available. Having said that, I can travel myself and I'm more than happy to work at a location as I am here at home.
