Leon Lift

This was my first time shooting with Terry and he was a pleasure to shoot with!

I thought highly of his skills behind the camera before the shoot and considering i am essentially "off season" for shooting fitness it was clear that he is very experienced as with his lighting skills and great direction we managed to pull together many awesome shots!

For anyone that gets the chance to work with Terry you won't be dissapointed. He is a nice guy and an easy to get along with laid back individual. Thank you for today i really enjoyed it!

Well what can I say about Terry that hasn't already been said?!

I had my first shoot with Terry at the beginning of the month and he did not disappoint. I absolutely love Terry's studio, it is most definitely like Aladdin's cave, filled with little treasures!

Communication prior to the shoot was spot on, Terry was completely professional and brilliant with direction. He made me feel completely at ease throughout the shoot and even made me a brilliant cuppa with biscuits.

I am so happy with the end results of our shoot together and would highly recommend anyone to work with Terry! An absolute pleasure.

So where do i start to explain my experince yesterday :)

This was the first time i got to work at Terry's Studio, Warm, Spacious, comfortable, Welcoming, are just a few words to describe the studio.

Terry on the other hand is a pleasent and friendly individual who instantly makes you feel at ease and engages into conversation this man is interesting.

Onto the shoot i was hired for a clients look book for a clothing range.

Terry was perfect in his explination and pre comms leading up to the day of the shoot.

He explained what was required, How the posing would be for the images i would be involved in, Nothing to extreme or daughnting gave direction well throughout.

Would be good to go back again and work alongside this talented individual again.

Terry approached me a few weeks ago about shooting a vintage-wear catalogue for a client. Pre-comms were quick and thorough: Terry recommended which train to get, local accommodation and more. On the day he picked me up from my hotel and made sure I was settled into the studio before heading off to round up the rest of the team. Terry must have shot thousands of images of the four models but remained patient, professional and friendly throughout. I really enjoyed my day at the studio and hope we can shoot together again soon. Recommended.

I was lucky to model for Terry on a catalogue shoot at retrophotostudio yesterday and would recommend working with him! The studio is pleasant, well equipped (including a screen where you can see each shot as it's taken and a very well placed mirror to check your pose!) and spacious, and Terry kindly picked us up and delivered us to the station, and provided refreshments. We had fun chatting and time during the shoot itself went far too fast!

I had another great shoot with Terry at RetroPhotoShudio on Thursday. As always Terry was very professional, and great fun to work with - time just flew by! The images I saw on the screen looked fantastic and Terry made sure the client (a fantastic reproduction clothing company) was happy with the images before moving on to the next outfit. The models were all really well looked after with refreshments and plenty of space to change, and he was kind enough to give me a lift to the station after the shoot. I love Terry's creative work and I'll definitely be booking in with him again soon to do some more images for portfolio/publications.

Terry of Retro Sudios is a nice guy and knows how to do his job. He also has a vast amount of props on hand, which sadly weren't part of our shoot today.

We did a photoshoot for a clothing company and all the clothes were organised and ironed when I arrived, as was all the equipment. This meant I was modelling within about five minutes of arrival and no time wasted.

There was a table well stocked with snacks (wait, are they carbs?!) and drinks, everyone was friendly, professional, thorough and keen yet still fun to work with.

I had my first shoot with Terry and it was an absolute pleasure to work with him! His passion and fun is absolutely contagious making you shine and squeeze all that beauty out of you. Ultimately, he is interested in making you feel comfortable and getting the best out of you. He is interest in new, out of the ordinary ideas and covers an impressive pallet of imagery from high fashion moody style, to quirky energetic vintage and editorial beauty.

He organized everything with prompt energetic professionalism from MUAH, quality lighting and concepts to shoot in his crazy studio. Good pre-shoot communication and excellent communication during shooting. He built a strong clever book of stunning images, which I am extremely happy with. Go get your shoot girl! Absolutely worth it and am looking forward to working with him again!

I had my first shoot with Terry today and i must say he is fantastic to work with! We created lots of unusual bendy images and wonderful art nude shots.

Communications prior to shooting were excellent, he's very professional at what he does (A perfectionist), very creative and his input & organization skills were spot on...

Terry is very friendly and most importantly he made me feel comfortable throughout the entire shoot. I definitely recommend working with him, especially if you want amazing images for your portfolio. He is definitely one of the best i have worked with and i can't wait to work with him again and see the images from our shoot!! :)

Terry is a fantastic photographer, I have had the pleasure to shoot both pin-up and fashion images.

Terry is great to work with, makes you feel at ease, directs really well and just a lovely person.

Not only does he take fab images but he gets them to you really quick so no eating around for editing!

Terry's images absolutely took my breath away. Would 100% recommend to anyone interested in working with him - very professional. Terry is always ready for ANY idea - he has pretty much any prop you can think of.

Prior, during and after the shoot, Terry's communication has been excellent. During my time at RetroPhotoStudio I was made to feel completely at ease and valued. I hope to work with Terry again (and again) as I am SO intrigued by the many props and ideas he has hidden away in his super unique studio.

I have had the pleasure of working with Terry Mendoza a few times. I love shooting with him and would recommend him to every model. He has a great studio, lots of props, clothes and shoes - every girls dream! His images are fantastic and I loved every one of them. He is a great photographer and an absolute lovely gentleman. I would always make time to shoot with him in the future. :)

I had the pleasure to shoot with Terry at the London College of Fashion and I must say I had a great experience working with such a talented team. Terry was way ahead of time, making sure everything was set up properly as this was a studio shoot. He was very easy to get along with and a pleasure to work with! The photos all looked fabulous and I´ve already received some edited shots that look amazing. Can´t wait to see the rest. I had the opportunity to work with Terry Mendoza with Retro Photostudio TWICE while he was in Arkansas, USA visiting family. I am still having trouble putting into words what a brilliant photographer, and genuine person Terry is. My boyfriend David came along, and we both fell in love with Terry and his wife.

I am new to modeling, and Terry was extremely patient, gave clear and knowledgeable direction, and was dedicated to getting the shots that both of us were looking to capture. He was encouraging, and funny, and had a very calming presence. I received proofs from our shoots almost instantly, and had the edited versions back to me just as promptly. The first time I shot with Mr. Terry, my other half David joined us for the meet and greet, and Terry put him to work helping out with lighting which David enjoyed very much. I shot alone with Terry the second time, and felt perfectly comfortable, and safe, and had a really good time getting to know him more. He is a perfect gentlemen.

I could not be happier with my entire experience working with Mr. Terry Mendoza, and he and his family will always have a special place in my heart. I feel so fortunate to have had this opportunity, and to have met someone who made saying goodbye to so difficult. I would gladly, and without hesitation suggest working with Terry Mendoza to anyone fortunate enough to cross paths with this incredible photographer, and outstanding individual. I hope very much to have a chance to work with him again in the future, and will miss his presence here until that time comes. I wish him all the best in the world!
