Rob is a true gentleman and great laugh who made me feel completely at ease throughout the shoot. We had so much fun in a truly collaborative art experience (owed half to his experience as a model and half to his incredible artistic eye). Rob is a great visionary whose use of light is unparalleled by any other photographer I've worked with. Had the pleasure of meeting Rob yesterday at a Fareham group shoot. What a guy!

Rob radiates warm, positive energy and I felt immediately at ease in his presence. The feedback and enthusiasm he gives whilst shooting is unmatched, and the images we created look epic. Can't wait to see them post production.

I found that the fact Rob also models made it easy to communicate about poses and he gave loads of great suggestions. His work is fantastic and I felt like I learned alot from him!

I had the absolute pleasure of posing for Rob yesterday at Fareham Studio. His pre-comms were clear, concise and polite, meaning I knew exactly what to bring and what we were hoping to achieve. I set up a variety of Old Hollywood-inspired lighting and Rob was so keen to learn; listening intently, asking questions and hearing my suggestions. Being a model himself means he understands things from both sides of the camera which is a huge advantage, and he is already a much better photographer than he thinks he is! A real gentleman with a wonderful sense of humour and an eye for detail - recommend him wholeheartedly and hope we can shoot again in the future.

Rob and I planned a very early shoot, he was on time, offered to get me a coffee and then we started shooting. I honestly had so much fun, Rob is really easy to get along with!

This was my third shoot with Rob and yet again, has brought it to another level. It was a studio shoot at Beliskner Studio, in Berdmonsey, at the once Biscuit Factory. He was very confident with the lighting available, great at translating my suggested theme and he gave me brilliant directions. Time really flew by and by the same evening he had already sent me all images taken. I am so beyond pleased with the pictures, this was the best way of closing 2021!

I had a fantastic time shooting with Rob. Very professional, on time, and made me feel very comfortable. Not only did we get some great shots, we were also able to discuss our love for vintage which made the shoot even more enjoyable too!

Another fantastic day shooting with Rob yesterday.

After discussing and sharing ideas and themes in advance, I was so thrilled that we could book a day in our calendars yesterday.

It was a home shoot at my place and he came punctual and with so much equipment. He basically had a studio on wheels!

We were moving effortlessly from one idea to the other and the time went really fast.

He was not afraid of going along with my suggestions and adjusting his lighting and settings, until we got what we wanted. It was incredible the way he has been able to understand and translate my ideas accurately.

As a bonus, he has got a great eye for details on styling, colour combinations and all other key elements of what creates a great image.

Book a shoot with him, highly recommended, for some tasteful and outstanding images of class in your portfolio and a guaranteed good time!

Hmm purple port asks “would you recommend retro r photography” ?? well if I get to work with Rob again it would bean absolute honour and a privilege…. I’m thinking after our amazing shoot yesterday, I would expect I’ve made a friend for life! His whole attitude to the whole industry is spot on … (I’m still learning and I really appreciate his advice !) Rob is a Total pro… the shoot we did was Hollywood style and the results I’ve seen so far are just total stunning… I’m so thrilled to be part of this …yesterday was one of those shoots I know I’ll never forget. Thank you so much to Rob, Jayne Rossiter-Gill who provided the most beautiful hats I’ve ever worn , Cristina (hair and make up ) and Sonia… my fellow model … bring in the next shoot, I’m already there mentally - I just can’t wait !! 😍

Rob is a delight to work with, absolutely passionate, professional, easy going and super chilled, I had the time of my life! The images look stunning, we had great fun planning the looks and styling it, with much care and attention to details. He was surely well prepared with lighting and all technical equipment to make the magic of the Hollywood Theme Shoot happen. The team onboard was amazing! The shoot was organised by Rob and the fabulous milliner Jayne Elizabeth Rossiter - Gill, and they both brought together two models (one of which was me), an amazing MUA and hair stylist, a BTS videographer and photographer.

I loved their ideas from the beginning and how everything was well planned and taking shape, how it was all well coordinated. Rob was most kind and polite from the start, in contacting me and making me feel welcome in the team. Meeting him in person was wow! the epitome and quintessence of a gentleman. Thanks Rob for being such a superstar and I am so looking forward to more work together!

PS: the images will speak by themselseves, well and above my words and he is going to get so busy which may be to my disadvantage! ;-)

Wow- What an Incredible Shoot!

Rob and I first connected over a mutual love of hats via Purple Port a few years ago. Since that day we have always remained good friends, and began planning our first photo shoot together several months ago.

Rob has been an absolute star to work with, as he not only shares my love of millinery and impeccable styling, he also shares my passion for detail. We began exchanging our inspiration; stunning millinery images, classic black and white vintage portraits, styling/wardrobe ideas, then subsequently made plans to work together on our first ever shoot- Vintage Hollywood Glamour.

Working with Rob was a real dream, he's totally professional, polite, well organised, genuine ...and also a whole heap of fun to be around!!!

Our team consisted of two models, a HMUA, videographer, BTS photographer, Rob and myself( stylist and milliner ) so it took quite a bit of organisation to ensure that everything ran perfectly on the day. Things were all planned and tested as much as possible before our shoot.

The shoot was a huge success, thanks to our fantastic team and of course the amazing Rob! I absolutely loved working with him.... and yes we are planning a few more creative photo shoots in the not to distant future!!

I am so grateful to Rob for today's remote shoot - it was such a fun experience and a massive boost!

I don't have the kit to shoot remotely and haven't shot for months so it was very exciting and kind of Rob to come up with the brilliant idea that we could shoot remotely together using our iPhones and an app!!

We decided on a fitness theme in my home gym and after a matter of minutes Rob was snapping away!

As always it was great to spend time with him and get his valuable input on my styling and poses. Rob is such brilliant company and so positive and enthusiastic - remotely or in person!

We had such a successful time shooting remotely that we are already planning the next shoot.

Had another brilliant impromptu valentines shoot with rob today.

Not only was it a great shoot we had lots of giggles which is lovely. I find rob one of the easiest people to get on with ever.

what an amazing day we have had on our remote shoot.

This was my first time working with rob and so pleased we have had the opportunity to do so even though via remote. rob is super friendly and thoughtful for my comfort during the poses. I found it super easy to work with rob as he is so chatty which mad me feel at ease.

rob was super patient during our shoot considering the slow process and was happy to help me with posing his previous knowledge as a model is very helpful.

I can't wait till lockdown is over so we can work together again in person. i would highly recommend working with rob.

I’ve just had another amazing shoot with Rob, this time on location shooting fashion and portraits. Rob is bringing all of his model talents in styling into his photography and he came up with some superb looks for me. His direction is brilliant and I felt I learnt so much about how to improve my portrait posing - a style of modelling that I’m less experienced in.

Rob works really hard to move around and get the angle spot on. He communicates so well, always talking you through what he’s doing. The shoot was incredibly collaborative and relaxed. We had lots of fun as we always do on our modelling shoots together.

I cannot believe the rapid progress Rob is making as a photographer. His skills are developing fast - as a result of his dedication and commitment to learning about the art of photography.

A shoot with Rob will be rewarding on so many levels, and with his positive energy and sense humour it’s guaranteed to be lots of fun too!

I am really looking forward to seeing Rob’s evolution into photography. He has come in at a high level having brought forward his modelling abilities and added to that skilful use of lighting and camera. This with his obvious ability to set a scene and mood is a powerful combination.

The pre shoot arrangements and communication was uncomplicated. His attention to detail and planning ensured all went smoothly.

It was a pleasure to have Rob for a home shoot, and my son and partner enjoyed his company as much as I did.

Having the chance to revisit some martial arts was a treat for me - Robs background in martial arts really helped to get some technically as well aesthetically good images. I would welcome the opportunity to work with Rob again. Thank you Rob for such an enjoyable shoot.
