John clearly knows the landscape and quick to get some brilliant infra red images.

The time was shorter than hoped due to certain timescales for the day but I will be looking for another shoot real soon once I've dreamt up an idea with those crazy props.

I had the pleasure of working with John on a trip to Portugal for a week.

John is AMAZING!! Its all put in one word.

John shoots in infrared and he gave me soo much confidence on the trip you wouldn't believe.

He shoots in a way that makeup and hair is not a problem. He likes natural and knows how to capture you in the best possible way.

After the first day, I knew all too well there was going to be some stunners throughout the trip, so I took every opportunity I could to shoot.

And I was right, came home with not only a great friend that I have worked with since but also some of the best pictures I've ever received.

John and I first got the chance to shoot together jumping right in at the creative end with an organised job in Madeira alongside a master armourer and 3 other models... Given that we had never worked together before then (only met briefly for coffee/a chat about ideas) I was so in awe at how well he managed the trip and coordinated everyone. It was hectic due to the number of people on the team and the volume of stuff to bring for specific shots which had to be packed carefully. Further still, all the little bits and bobs like you don't immediately think about like car hire etc. John had sorted out single handedly to make sure we all got where we needed to be at the stunning villa that he had booked. A lot of people think it's straight-forward arranging abroad trips and that you can always just head out on different locations and you're guaranteed the sun - of course Madeira has a micro-climate of it's own so even during the flash showers, John maintained a positive outlook that the time to snatch the shots will come and the amazing digs he booked for the team to reside in was thee perfect back up with it's high-end features allowing us to grab opportunities at short bursts when the sun came out. It was a real challenge at times jumping at the chance to shoot, heading out to recce places in-between the group schedule and John did a superb job at keeping a productive flow among everyone on board the job. He's extremely down to earth, understanding and patient... I cannot give him enough credit for taking on the job with sole responsibility for all the things that needed arranging/managing.

When the sunshine did make an appearance and we did head out and about or shoot around the villa, John was on-pointe at grabbing each killer moment super quick whilst smashing the angles, composition... everything! Like he's definitely my kind of photographer in how super speedy he can catch each moment - sometimes as a model you're able to hold a single pose/work around that pose to get the required shots and other times (especially on location) there maybe more of a distance between you and the photographer meaning you can always hear the shutter so it makes sense to keep moving - John caught all the prime moments of my posing in this manner and more! He did stupendous justice to each set and really brought out the power and beauty of the landscape and pose. John's work is exactly why shooting a model small in a bigger picture is a style to love... the sheer power you can create within a photograph is magical and John really is on the ball once he gets shooting. You can even give him a bloody IPhone and he will cook up exceptional, professional looking pictures! He has an amazingly skilled eye both creatively and technically.

Other than coming away with a whole mass of wonderful material we had shot throughout the course of the week... John was such fun to work with and had no end of fun stories to keep the group entertained. He's got a heart of gold and will look out for everyone/make sure everyone is happy/content. Then feed everyone with rib-cracking laughter and jokes during the down-time in the evenings and what-not. During shooting time, he's so very encouraging and positive - if he sees something that works he will communicate with the model quickly to let them know so you get the best team rapport... at the same time he allows models to go into their own independent series of poses and will make it look sensational from his side of the camera. So much in the way of high recommendations do I have for this gent... professional and respectful with super etiquette, but loads of fun as well and the most social photographer you could have either one to one or in a group of creatives.

John really helped me in the organising stages too - his fast pre-shoot communications meant I was able to work my travels in with our Madeira job all effectively and in accordance with the rest of the group. He's a true star! Thanks again John, roll on Portugal next month!

Shooting with John was so much fun. He is such an engaging, hilarious guy! Wonderful sense of humour, and a great eye. We did a shoot using armour from the original Alien film with Terry English, the maker of the armour, present also! It was only a couple of hours, but we got some great shots and I had an amazing time. I hope we get to work together again soon!

John attended one of the group shoots I organise at Art Asylum, when he told me of the armour he was bringing to it I was so excited...it was adding a completely new element to the images produced at the asylum. Not only that but he also shoots in infrared, again...something we'd not experienced yet in the group shoots. John has a fabulous collection of armour to choose from and was also very happy for other photographers to shoot models using his props...Very generous of him I thought and not something you often see. John is easy to work with,quick to get the shots and because of this we got 3 outfit changes in to an hour and 10 minute shoot time. Love the images produced...thanks John

I have been with John for about a week in Madeira for a trip organised by Natalia Forrest and the images that he has shot are stunning. John knows exactly what he wants and he is great at directions but there is always room for experimentation and makes you feel very comfortable. He is very enjoyable to be around and has a great sense of humor and generosity. Not only the shoots (that are usually very quick for he gets the right shot in a minute) but the dinners have been so much fun. I had a strong click with him to create images. If you are lucky to be able to shoot with John go ahead!

I have worked with John a few times now, we've shot together on location and in studios in the UK and also two trips to Portugal!

John is very professional and knows exactly what he wants and how to get the image, always very clear with directions (Arch that back! Stretch! Suck that gut in! Point those toes!) he really knows how to get the best out of his models.

John works very quickly and doesn't waste any time shooting for the sake of shooting.

He immediately makes you feel at ease and confident.

I shot with John whilst away on a week longs shoot in the Algarve. What a great tog! Easy to get on with and knows exactly what he wants and how to direct the model for the best result.

I can still hear "arch", "stretch" and "point those toes" ringing in my ears! 8-)

The images produced are a testimont to the professionalism and expereince john has! Would highly recommend him to any model willing to work hard but get fantastic unique shots!

I shot with John and his assistant Brittany today at DK Capture in Poole. He is very chatty, open and friendly. I felt relaxed and think we worked well together to get some good poses on camera. The photos looked really cool in infrared and I would have no problem in recommending him to others.

I had a fab time shooting with John at my home studio for actually the first time..

Met him over 5 years ago in Berlin, we were talking about shooting then- anyway 5 years or more down the line we finally get a shoot arranged lol!!

We shot last month at my home studio in Shrewsbury he only booked 2 hours traveled all the way from Glastonbury!! And only shot about 1 hour as that's all he said he needed!!

John is relaxed super easy going- such a lovely chap- he is highly recommended his work is different and unique hes fun- chatty what more could you ask for would definitely work with him again anytime!! Hope to see you again soon!!
