I had the most fantastic shoot with Ray today. He is a very collaborative photographer, ensuring that the model also gets her idea's experimented with. Ray was very kind and friendly, a pleasure to work with.

We worked through sets in different parts of amazing location. The shoot was so much fun and flew by too quickly.

Had a great photoshoot with Ray in lovely Staffordshire; he is a pleasure to model for, professional, friendly and encouraging. Ray gave great direction and also captured spontaneity, it was a fun shoot and as always we worked very well together. Very good and clear communication throughout.

The locations were great to shoot in and Ray's knowledge of the local area proved a productive asset. Fabulous images.

Ray and I first chatted about setting up a photo shoot last year after crossing paths here on PurplePort. Before long... we had our shoot booked in for March at Joel Hicks Photographic - it has to be said that Ray's communications were absolutely fantastic! He made it so easy for me to sort things out and he respects that when a model sets up an event or tour that it's essential to have a clear idea of what bookings fit where so the schedule can flow stress-free. Thank you so much for your concise emails Ray. It helped me so much from this side! :) Thank you for arriving on time and then making it such a breeze to strike a rapport for all the epic images that were to come.

Speaking of which: I can totally vouch for how lovely a gentleman Ray is, sure we had a good bounce and plenty of laughs as we shot (as you do when a shoot is going very well with lots of exciting image yield) but what struck me is how aware and focussed Ray is on making the whole shoot experience as comfortable for the model as possible. He has a big heart, shows countless amounts of respect and courtesy and will make certain that the styles are totally on par with what the model is happy with. It makes such a difference when you work with someone who takes care to maintain a positive work pattern with all creatives who may be on board for a shoot. You feel relaxed and can just go about your thing, the poses look better and the model-photographer productivity is on the ball.

Ray is excellent at coming up with creative ideas: he brings bits and pieces along to shoots too so as and when a set inspired we were able to combine each others ideas to get some really interested effects. That's what I love about working with Ray also: he welcomes the models input as well so you both get the chance to throw suggestions in the mix and keep the creative momentum going. Each look we did, Ray composed the shots beautifully! He played with the lighting to get exactly what he wanted and brought some amazing little technical tricks along which gave magnificent effects: it was instantly evident that he had epic technical knowledge and a good eye for beauty within a photograph. Ray would have us going through the images on the back of the camera in-between sets and they were looking so darn awesome! Then the edits appeared and it's even better when you see them in the full glory.

Ray, what can I say, what a gent!! I have had several shoots with him now todays was supposed to be our first location shoot, however, when we arrived at the destination it seemed we weren't alone - the builders had arrived!!! So we had to quickly develop a plan B, it involved a home shoot which was a far cry from the planned shoot. Did Ray mind? did it put him off? Absolutely not!!! He took it in his stride and quickly saw ideas and put them into practise. We had a great shoot and got some lovely images. With hindsight, it was perhaps a blessing in disguise the builders inconsiderately (:) )converting our abandoned buildings when we wanted to shoot - the weather was windy wet and cold.

Most certainly recommended!! Thank you again Ray x

Just had my first shoot with Ray today & what a pleasure it was!! Pre-shoot comms were excellent, ideas & locations discussed & arranged effortlessly.

Ray is totally lovely, a really friendly, chatty chap & we got along really well. In fact the time just flew by. Ray had a couple of great locations in mind & they were fabulous, unfortunately it was a little chilly to go with our original shoot plan but Ray was totally flexible & always mindful of whether I was warm enough. It was a bright blue sky day & the light was both a hindrance & a help but Ray was quick to adapt & make the most of it.

The images look great on the back of the camera. Thank you so much for shooting with me Ray - I'd really like to do it again! Thoroughly recommended to all. Until the next time, thank you :-) Sal x

My second shoot with Ray at Image red Studio and it was I think, very successful. Ray is great to work with, lively and full of ideas. I made sure I brought all the items he requested but time went so quickly we never got around to using all of them.

I look forward to seeing the results of this shoot, and hope they are as good if not better than the last.

Had a lovely shoot with Ray at my home, I believe this was our third shoot.... but with about a year a least break between!... Anyway the shoot was organised well in advance and after a little trouble with locations we managed to get something put together! Comms were perfect, detailed and speedy in response especially when trying to sort last minute location plans!...

Ray arrived on time, greeting me with a smile... I felt like I was catching up with an old friend... we chatted away and had a giggle along with taking some lovely photographs... The shoot itself flew by and I felt comfortable throughout!...

Ray is a very competent photographer and will take lovely shots!... He is certainly still recommended!...

Thanks again Ray and I hope to see you again in the new year!

I had a studio day at Sandon Studio and I really wanted to work with Ray so I asked him along. He is a lovely man. Pre comms were really great, explaining what he wanted to achieve. We chatted throughout the shoot and got on really well. He was a gentleman throughout and the pictures he created are really good. I hope to work with him again in the future. Thanks Ray!

He is a very respectful, considerate gentleman, and a creative photographer who welcomes input from his models as well as giving good and clear direction. I had finally yesterday my first brilliant shoot with Ray H in Tamworth in a studio he booked for the occasion..pre comm was excellent and i knew exactly what he was expecting from this project..he came kindly to pick me up at the station and immediately we went to the studio ..an interesting warehouse studio full of natural light and props..i enjoyed so much during this creative shoot especially when i flew with amazing blue silky drapes around the room ..time run away and in 3 hours we produced great images..now i cant await to see them ..well done Ray !!! I hope to work with you again ..highly recommended to every model

Had a really lovely shoot with Ray. He came to pick me up from the train station and we went to the studio which was great, had a really nice vibe. He had lots of ideas and we had good fun, and also made it to a lovely location that Ray had planned. Shoot went so quickly! Got some good photos, great photographer, really recommend :)
