It was great to finally work with Raph this month. We've been in talks about a shoot for nearly a year so it's been a long time coming! We met at a hotel in Farnborough for 3 hours, and it was not long enough! We got a lot done which was excellent, and Raphs style meant that we could have a good old natter, whilst also churning out some awesome pictures. It was quite amazing!

We also got some polaroid's which is always nice, it's not often you get to shoot polaroid!

I do not hesitate to recommend Raph, although don't expect to have any small talk on your shoot!

What a lovely shoot with such an amenable photographer! Raph made everything so easy for me while was touring in London! Wasn't feeling the on cam flash style initially but I had a blast and glad I went out of my comfort zone! So thanks Raph! Highly recommended by me and looking forward to seeing the results.

I worked with the amazing Raph recently and had a blast!

Raph was very organised, kind, hospitable and understanding- an excellent communicator and fantastic at giving direction when needed (as per my understanding, photography is his day job and HE definitely ROCKS!)

The hours vanished in a puff of smoke- full to the brim of wardrobe changes and different styles, but SO enjoyable. I let my silly and goofy side out, a break from the norm of what I usually do.

Thank you so much Raph for having me and REALLY appreciate all the photos from the day. I love them 😍 Highly recommended to all and would love to work together again in the future.

What can I say about Raph!? We’ve been in touch for a while now trying to make a date work between us both, but after posting my last minute Christmas availability the stars finally aligned and we shot for 3 fabulous hours at my home :) Raph is one of those individuals that you meet and instantly feel like you already know them - which definitely helps when his whole shoot style is to obtain that ‘in the moment’, relaxed feel. I obviously knew how good a tog he is, having followed his work for a long time now, but the images we related are just wow! I’ve already posted some (with insane responses!!) but I honestly can’t wait to share more - the ultimate sign of a PERFECT shoot! Thanks so much Raph, you the best!

Don't know where to start really!

I wanted a relaxed easy going shoot and Raph delivered that.

Raph was super easy to talk to and a great laugh, it was like shooting with a friend I've know for years.

I met this incredible guy Feb 3rd 2023 when he came to my house with the tiniest camera bag and the largest personality ever, ha.. we hit it off straight away - but I would imagine Raph hits it off with absolutely anybody who has the pleasure of passing through his world - he's cool, quirky, chatty, smiley, relatable..

His energy is infectious, refreshing, intense and beautifully non-threatening - I felt like I'd known him years - there is something extraordinary about his ability to break down walls, subconcsious patterns in posing and bring out a side of any model (me for sure!) that probably doesn't get much airtime usually, if at all.

I've always believed that no matter how much experience a model has, it's the photographer which sets the stage for the model to perform - Raph is a perfect example of this. You can see it clearly in his work both with models & musicians, and you can feel it in his presence. He knows the specific moment to take each shot yet works quickly and efficiently, communicating, laughing, listening, asking questions, engaging senses..

He has a unique ability to produce a different level of work from the masses, both from his engagement and his talent as a creative.

It's such an utterly refreshing (and quite shocking!) feeling when you think you're already expressing yourself to the absolute max in your work, but then you realise.... well.. you kinda haven't been..!

Have I said everything I need to?

Oh - no - the shots are bloody amazing. Just ridiculous. I love them - from someone who knows she's good at her job yet forever has underlying insecurities about candids, losing posed control, looking a bit silly, looking a bit ugly mid-sentence, etc. (like most of us I'd assume)

Raph, you photographed me in my natural raw state, and I'm captivated. I hope we cross paths again x

My first shoot with Raph went great. I didn't go in with much expectations (I always keep my expectations low. More fun to get more than you expected) and was blown away by the results. Literally every picture he takes is a good picture. So effortless. Even in a tiny hotel room in a basement we managed to make hundreds of powerful images. In addition, we had some interesting discussions and I'm happy to know him as a person. He's dedicated, talented and has a very good eye. Perfect combination for a photographer.

Shooting with Raph is a fun, relaxed, creative experience. He makes every effort to make you feel confident and unique and this is reflected in his photos. His style is bang up to date and his experience in live event photography means he is great at capturing ‘in the moment’ shots. He is really interested in getting to know you, so that he can show your individuality and capture a side to you that other photographers may not have done. I love the photos from our shoot, especially those that are quite different from what I’ve done before and I’d love to shoot with him again.

I had high expectations but oh my god I didn’t not expect THAT good!

Raph, I don’t know if I have enough words to say how much I have LOVED today. That was by far thee most relaxed shoot I’ve ever had but by god did we smash it. In my opinion, a photographer should always bring out the best in you and Raph did exactly that. He captured my raw character to a tee and was not afraid to try any weird and wonderful ideas I had and captured them exactly how they were in my head.

Not only was the energy and creativity matched but Raph was also very respectful, caring and an outright gent! If I write anymore I’ll start sounding like a fan girl haha but I can say without a doubt. BOOK HIM!

Thank you so so much Raph, I really have loved every second of today which flew by so quickly!

Raph is so damn fun to work with, and creates such raw, in the moment, true photos. It was the first time I got photos back and thought - yeah these images really capture who I am. He takes some great Polaroids as well as digital photos, gives all the banter and communication leading up and during the shoot. Raph is a skilled photographer with a great soul and this was one of my favourite shoots to date. Can’t recommend enough. Let’s shoot again soon! X

Last week I had a first shoot with Raph in London. He booked an hotel in Victoria for 2 hours and the time flew by. Raph is great fun to work with, down to earth and friendly. Enjoyed working with him in creating some images different from what I am normally used. I love the spontaneity of the pictures, almost capturing scene of everyday life, and his style in general. Happy with final results and grateful he shared the images with me. Recommended :) thank you Raph for the great shoot!

Ahhh Raph!!

The worlds latest reference but not to be missed!!

Raph is someone who literally, within the first 5 minutes of meeting him and chatting... It feels like you’re being reunited with an old friend!! All the laughs and banter and it’s genuine which is hard to find these days!!

We shot in this totally hidden hotel which looks like a small door and WHAMM it’s a whole full grown hotel - like something out of Harry Potter and more importantly the sets we got were so good! *uploads pending*

Raph has a bloody wonderful way of making you feel super at home and actually getting natural images - no fake or try hard poses. Just capturing your actual face in the moment! Which is honestly such a nice vibe! - even though I KNOWWW we had ‘the many faces of Kes’ and probably half an eye open haha! But it was so good if you want to see how you ACTUALLY look in life & ovv the lil confidence boot that comes with that! LOL!

Totally unedited. Just you and your essence that’s captured. Lushus!

Thank you for making me feel so welcome and putting up with my AWFUL time keeping at writing references haha (and also now onto 2nd book of learning about A.S) haha! But yes!! Would a thousand % recommend!!

For who ever is reading this and is contemplating booking with Raph, my advice is DO. IT. our shoot together was one of the most fun ones i've had from the old PurplePort in a long long time. he's super laid back, good vibes and has his own style. We were laughing the whole time, im eagerly waiting for the outcome. we became friends after this shoot.

Authentic photography from a truly authentic person. Raph creates photos of real people with real stories behind the person. So refreshing in this age of homogenous 'perfection'.

The first shoot in a long time where I saw pictures of.......myself, actually me, a person not a decoration.

Raph brings out personality in his photos which is a rare talent these days. Add to that he's a fantastic human.
