References for Raph Photographer

I was delighted when Raph messaged me about a potential shoot, looking at his portfolio I fell instantly in love with his very relaxed style of photography and just knew we would work well together.

We didn’t chat tons prior to the shoot so I very much went in blind to what kind of person Raph would be. Safe to say, he exceeded all expectations. He’s someone you cannot help but instantly like! Very kind, generous, genuine and he’s a laugh a minute.

The shoot itself was very unlike anything I’ve done previously, it first I was a little bit intimidated by the flash , but as soon as I saw the back of camera I was at ease- he really knows his stuff, and the images are incredible. I feel he gave me a much needed push to forget perfection and let loose. We spent some time at the end going through the photos and choosing together, I went home buzzing! By the very next morning he has sent me over 400 usable photos- a roaring success I’d say

Anyway, bottom line is Raph is awesome, if you get a chance to shoot with this talented and humble photographer then take it. Until next time X

I had a brilliant shoot with Raph yesterday!

He suggested a style I'd never tried before (90s style high key) and I was very intrigued to do something a bit more "modern" than I usually do. Working with him was super easy from the get-go, it definitely helped that he was keen to include my cat in the shoot too! He was super fun, easy to chat to and the time just flew by because we were having such a laugh.

I enjoyed going through all the photos at the end and deciding which ones we both did and didn't like. Working with Raph is a true artistic collaboration and I highly recommend him to any other model. 10/10 would work with again. :)

Sunday morning at 9:30, Raph arrived in my tiny hôtel room and we did an amazing shooting. I found him very professionnel and I quickly felt confortable for a lively shooting, plus I was surprised by his french acknwoledge. The way he organised the shooting was very simple and quick, which I have appreciated very much.

So if you re looking for a professionnal and easygoing photographer, don t look further Raph is for you !

I had my first creative shooting session with Raph.

The communication before and during the shoot was perfect.

He is a great artist, his background in cinematography make the photo session be one of the most creative i have been work in.

We had a lot of fun during our shooting session, he is very relaxed, looking to catch the soul of the person in front of the camera, in photo.

I can't wait to publish the photos that we made, even that will be super hard to choose which one i will post first, because they are all amazing.

I definitely recommend Raph as a creative, professional, respectul and easy to work artist and can't wait to work again

Second shoot with Raph recently and we had a great time. We'd planned a few different ideas and got through so many different sets during our time together. Honestly it was one of those shoots when it felt like we just jumped from mad idea to mad idea. One minute I was making instant noodles and throwing dead flowers around the room, the next I was setting fire to newspapers in the living room and then I was kicking puddles at the camera (no lenses were harmed during the making of those images).

Shot some of my new favourite images on this shoot, which I couldn't have done without Raph's attitude and personality. I love it when a photographer says 'sure, why not, let's try it', and Raph is definitely one of those. He definitely captures facial expressions I make that no other photographer does.

If you get a chance, shoot with him :)

I had the pleasure of working with Raph this week, and I must say, he is a remarkably creative and easy-going photographer. His unique perspective and quirky charm made our photo shoot in the local hotel room a truly enjoyable experience. Raph's ability to bring out the best in his subjects is undeniable, though I must admit, he does possess a certain idiosyncratic flair that sets him apart. If you're willing to embrace the unconventional, I would highly recommend working with Raph - just be prepared for a session filled with laughter, spontaneity, and the unexpected. As for me, I hope to collaborate with him again, should I be deemed worthy.

It was great to finally work with Raph this month. We've been in talks about a shoot for nearly a year so it's been a long time coming! We met at a hotel in Farnborough for 3 hours, and it was not long enough! We got a lot done which was excellent, and Raphs style meant that we could have a good old natter, whilst also churning out some awesome pictures. It was quite amazing!

We also got some polaroid's which is always nice, it's not often you get to shoot polaroid!

I do not hesitate to recommend Raph, although don't expect to have any small talk on your shoot!

What a lovely shoot with such an amenable photographer! Raph made everything so easy for me while was touring in London! Wasn't feeling the on cam flash style initially but I had a blast and glad I went out of my comfort zone! So thanks Raph! Highly recommended by me and looking forward to seeing the results.

I worked with the amazing Raph recently and had a blast!

Raph was very organised, kind, hospitable and understanding- an excellent communicator and fantastic at giving direction when needed (as per my understanding, photography is his day job and HE definitely ROCKS!)

The hours vanished in a puff of smoke- full to the brim of wardrobe changes and different styles, but SO enjoyable. I let my silly and goofy side out, a break from the norm of what I usually do.

Thank you so much Raph for having me and REALLY appreciate all the photos from the day. I love them 😍 Highly recommended to all and would love to work together again in the future.

What can I say about Raph!? We’ve been in touch for a while now trying to make a date work between us both, but after posting my last minute Christmas availability the stars finally aligned and we shot for 3 fabulous hours at my home :) Raph is one of those individuals that you meet and instantly feel like you already know them - which definitely helps when his whole shoot style is to obtain that ‘in the moment’, relaxed feel. I obviously knew how good a tog he is, having followed his work for a long time now, but the images we related are just wow! I’ve already posted some (with insane responses!!) but I honestly can’t wait to share more - the ultimate sign of a PERFECT shoot! Thanks so much Raph, you the best!

Don't know where to start really!

I wanted a relaxed easy going shoot and Raph delivered that.

Raph was super easy to talk to and a great laugh, it was like shooting with a friend I've know for years.

I met this incredible guy Feb 3rd 2023 when he came to my house with the tiniest camera bag and the largest personality ever, ha.. we hit it off straight away - but I would imagine Raph hits it off with absolutely anybody who has the pleasure of passing through his world - he's cool, quirky, chatty, smiley, relatable..

His energy is infectious, refreshing, intense and beautifully non-threatening - I felt like I'd known him years - there is something extraordinary about his ability to break down walls, subconcsious patterns in posing and bring out a side of any model (me for sure!) that probably doesn't get much airtime usually, if at all.

I've always believed that no matter how much experience a model has, it's the photographer which sets the stage for the model to perform - Raph is a perfect example of this. You can see it clearly in his work both with models & musicians, and you can feel it in his presence. He knows the specific moment to take each shot yet works quickly and efficiently, communicating, laughing, listening, asking questions, engaging senses..

He has a unique ability to produce a different level of work from the masses, both from his engagement and his talent as a creative.

It's such an utterly refreshing (and quite shocking!) feeling when you think you're already expressing yourself to the absolute max in your work, but then you realise.... well.. you kinda haven't been..!

Have I said everything I need to?

Oh - no - the shots are bloody amazing. Just ridiculous. I love them - from someone who knows she's good at her job yet forever has underlying insecurities about candids, losing posed control, looking a bit silly, looking a bit ugly mid-sentence, etc. (like most of us I'd assume)

Raph, you photographed me in my natural raw state, and I'm captivated. I hope we cross paths again x
