I studied photojournalism in college in the 1970's. I was hired at portrait studio only because I knew nothing about photographing people. There I was taught by a Master Photographer in Portraiture. My desire grew towards the female form and the use of light. That was short lived as I pursued photojournalism in television. I spent over 30 years in television news. Covering everything from daily local news events, national headlines, entertainment and just about any subject you could imagine. My love for still photography was always with me.

I am retired, living in a small rural town. I have done a lot of product photography. People are my favorite subjects. I now have the time to devote to still photography instead of film and video. My favorite photographers are from the 1930's, George Hurrell and Clarence Sinclair Bull. I now use the digital format instead of monochrome film. I am always looking for new ideas and ways of seeing.
