Python Photos

I'm an amateur photographer who has been shooting since 1984. Most of my photography has been wildlife, nature, and landscape, but I've done some people photography all along. I've also done a bit of technical and scientific photography and imaging. In 2011, I had the opportunity to work with a guy who did quite a bit of model photography. While we've grown apart, he got me started, and I've enjoyed doing model photography since that time. 

I like a wide variety of genres. I like the challenge of trying to capture the best shots in all kinds of circumstances. I like trying to create images that both my model and I will like. One of the greatest compliments that I received was when a model said that her mom really liked what we'd done together. 

I pay models sometimes and do some TFP shooting. On a TFP basis, I'm usually happy to help a model with whatever he or she wants to create. Realistically, I'm not going to find any models through PurplePort, but I try to make a few contacts out there. 

I worked as engineer for most of my adult life, but health problems have forced me into a disability retirement. I shoot when I'm physically able and can find a model who wants to shoot. Clearly, my perspective on the world does not fit that of the model photography community. I realize that I will always be a nobody in this community, and that will have to be okay. I will remain true to myself and to the truth. If I can make some good images along the way, that will be good enough for me.
