Pursuing Serendipity

I’m a hobbyist photographer in Columbus, Indiana.  Years ago, I shot portraits for fun then had to set it aside for other priorities.  After raising a family and working over 20 years as an engineer in the automotive industry, I have renewed my interest in photography, and in improving both my portrait portfolio and post-processing skills.  

Until now, my learning has been self-taught so wanted some formal training and have recently completed a Certificate in Digital Photography program through Cornell University.  I’m beginning to explore my vision of creating images which would align most with environmental or lifestyle genres and assemble the results into a body of work by working with models with various experience levels.

I do not have a studio, so I work almost exclusively on-location with studio lights capable of being set up both indoors and in remote locations. I am willing to travel a reasonable distance for a shoot and would also consider renting studio space for any unique opportunities.

Terms and conditions are always negotiable, and I will work TFP, test shots, model for hire or any combination of those. I believe that regardless of terms, collaboration is most important, both prior to and during the shoot.
