I've shot with Paul twice on a underwater shoot and this time i had the pleasure of working with Keira Lavelle aswell!

We shot at her lovely home and filmed a variety of different video sets which involved a little bit of acting and role play. Paul is always friendly and makes you feel very relaxed whilst shooting. He knows his stuff and we always get the shots super quickly. The shoots always fly by and i enjoy mixing it up and doing something a little different i.e. pretending i'm a mermaid for work!

Thanks for another awesome shoot, i'm looking forward to the next one already!

A terrific catch-up shoot with the lovely Paul after not having worked together for absolutely ages! We had been wanting to plan more duo work for some time (we missed out a fair few times to do things when the pandemic was in full swing) so we almost had a backlog of content we needed to get through haha! All good though: it’s always productive and a great atmosphere when we do get down to business. 😊

We worked with the beautiful Rebecca Ray this time; with a view to cover some (usual) underwater themes, and also some out of the bath as well haha! We’ve got quite a good system going now with getting down with a fun brief and coming up with ideas - it always runs smoothly working with Paul, and we even managed to fit in some solo work too. We’ve worked together that many times though; we almost don’t need to run through what we’re doing anymore. 😆 Tge content Paul shoots is quite often “Facebook friendly” by definition as they call it... Sometimes we might shoot a few topless themes, but it’s more about the fun acting aspect - therefore any models who enjoy acting with video work, it’s definitely up your street. 🙂 Paul is also adaptable and supportive of models working to what they are comfortable with (both in and out of the water) therefore it’s always set to be a positive working space with the happiness of those on board top of the priority list. 😁

When Rebecca arrived; we gelled very quickly and Paul was great with explaining everything/putting forward the ideas for the duo sets. There were times when we were all in floods of tears (hysterical with laughter) with some of the funny improvising we were doing with scenes... 🤣 But that’s part of it with a shoot with Paul. 🤷🏻‍♀️ We managed to cram quite a lot of good stuff in with the time we had with Rebecca; a good pace was leading us through the sets and we pretty much nailed everything first time. It was certainly good teamwork at play. Which is always detrimental to a successful shoot if you ask me - everyone has to be on the same page, and have a good working relationship, because it has such an impact on the ease of everything else/getting things done and an amicable proactive work connection. 👌

Paul is routinely the professional gentleman on his shoots. It’s not the average type of shoot: going underwater/opening your eyes and holding your breath... Things can get a bit snotty and soaked haha! But Paul’s humour, reassuring nature and great knack with supporting/talking models through the shoots always prevails. 🙂 He works with others very well; showing complete professionalism during each shoot and initiating plenty of breaks to look after the well-beings of the models. You’re certainly safe working with Paul, he’s a good/genuine person through and through. 🌟

I absolutely love our underwater shoots and can't wait for us to do another soon.

There's no creative that I feel more comfortable around than Paul. Safety and my comfort are a priority, despite the high risk work we're creating.

I love the challenge and would create weekly with Paul if I could!

Had my first shoot with Paul today in my home in Manchester. The shoot was very fun, it was different from anything I have done before. Paul made me feel comfortable and it was so much fun! I really enjoyed the underwater shoot and I would highly recommend other models working with him

So where do i start ?

Paul was very efficient with booking the shoot and communication was good

From start to finnish this shoot was so much fun and a nice change for me it allowed me to push my self and i felt very accomplished by the end of it .

He made myself and jodie23 feel extremely comfortable and i will 100% be working with paul again in the future

Did my very under water shoot with Paul at home in my bath! I was a bit nervous about whether I could do it or not but Paul was very patient and had lots of tips on breathing techniques etc.

I actually really surprised myself… I managed to do all the shots and it was a lot of fun!

Paul definitely is a good teacher and this helped immensely! We had a laugh and the rose petals that didn’t float, the amount of times you need to blow your nose 😂😂 was good fun!

Would definitely do it again and looking forward to seeing some clips of how I look submerged! X

I’ve shot with Paul on numerous occasions now - we always work well together and have even combined duo ideas into the underwater/breath holding style video shoots we’ve done. However until earlier this month, we hadn’t had chance to do anything for quite some time! 😭 (Darn Covid!) Obviously we wanted to do everything properly/professionally and abide by the ever changing restrictions that had been upon us. Paul is very understanding with a great professional attitude so he was fully supportive of us having to reschedule a shoot earlier in the year when lockdown happened. It just meant we had a lot of catching up to do/content to make when we could do things again haha! :D And boy didn’t we slay it: two shoots recently in a very short space of time... A short solo shoot enabled us to get some of the usual bits and pieces done, as well as trying out some new themes! Then only a few days ago we did a hugely productive full day where we got to do some duo work (all precautions taken) with the lovely Lila as well! :) We’ve got to a stage now where we just get straight into a flow anyway - but we were particularly prolific this time I think. I guess I feel this way partly because I beat my all-time record as well hehe! :P Which actually surprised me seeing as I was feeling a bit out of practice! But yes - EPIC shoot(s) as always!

One thing Paul has always been great with is communications. He’s fast/to the point and a real star when it comes to coordinating multi-model days too. We always seem to have a shoot planned just after I’m doing something really hectic like touring haha, so I cannot thank Paul enough for doing all the to-ing and fro-ing to round everyone up/plan times etc. He’s also great with dealing with different models who may not have modelled underwater before - so if you’re a model in this position then fear not because Paul will be able to talk you through everything and make you feel at ease in the run-up to a shoot. ☺️

The first of our recent shoots was actually a mix of underwater and not - it was good to mix things up, and Paul introduced some new ideas to the mix that we hadn’t done before which was really cool. He’s really creative in that sense and I feel like we can do all kinds of things around the same concepts. We then just did some of the more traditional modelling in the bath and as always: Paul came totally prepped with all the gear. The shoot was a doddle. 😃 On the later (part duo) full day shoot, we were able to extend some of these ideas out further, with Lila too. And then also do some stuff outdoors in the hot tub! Even being a full day, it went really quick! I think we just got in the zone and everyone just really bounced off each other well so it literally zipped by! The nice thing was also that it was a real laugh - obviously with the 3 of us working together... Lila and I clicked instantly and modelled well together and Paul got some fabulous stuff with his usual awesome know-how’s off the back of the general good vibes of the day. :) He knows exactly what he’s trying to achieve with each concept and is able to lead accordingly - he’s the most well-prepped underwater photographer I know and has all the tricks at the ready to make it as smooth a shoot as possible. Everything just fell into place really; lots of neat footage, lots of chatter, a relaxed pace. S’all good! :D

It goes without saying that Paul is a perfect gentleman and star example of what you hope in etiquette from a photographer. He’s decent in every respect; down-to-earth, courteous, cares about the safety/well-being and happiness of the models he shoots from the very start of shoot initiation to the end. I seriously have no end of good things to say about Paul and always look forward to our next shoot!

Paul booked me for an under water shoot for a content website.

His communication beforehand was great, he is a really lovely respectful guy who’s very easy to work with. He explained the shoot very well and made me feel very comfortable all the way through.

He told me just before that it takes a few try’s to get used to being under the water on your back and girls need a few go’s to get used to it. All I will say is that I definitely went into this a little bit cocky thinking it would be easy, but I found it very difficult…. there was something about being on my back under water that made me panic, I tried 3/4 times but knew I wouldn’t be able to do it. I don’t know myself why i wasn’t able to do it because I can swim but sadly I just couldn’t.

He wasn’t annoyed at all and we came up with another way to shoot which turned out to be some great content so I’m pleased his journey wasn’t wasted.

I’d definitely say have a few practice runs at home to get used to it before.

Since what we dis manage to get was great, hopefully we can shoot similar content again ☺️

I had a great first shoot with Paul working on some underwater video content from home.

Paul's communication prior to the shoot was excellent and he gave me a good idea about how the shoot should be structured and what I should bring along.

Paul is easy to get along with, and has a great sense of humour, but more importantly he is also very knowledgeable about what he does. He has clearly spent time researching to ensure that he put's the model's safety first and does everything he can to allow the model to really challenge herself in the shoot.

This was something completely different and a chance to stretch myself as a model, which I love! Not a shoot I'll forget in a while.

Looking forward to working together again soon x

First shoot with the absolutely fantastic Paul at my house :)!

Paul's precomms were absolutely spot on and I knew exactly what the plan was and the aims of our shoot. Paul was aiming to get some underwater footage of me in the bath for his website.

Paul turned up on time and greeted me with a warm smile :) Super chatty and friendly right away, making me feel automatically relaxed and comfortable. Paul got set up in the bathroom and we reviewed the outfit choices for each set before getting started!

We started off with clothes in the bath and just floating angelically underwater, which I then stripped down to lingerie. Paul was on hand constantly with towels and drinks and all sorts inbetween takes and made sure I was as relaxed as possible :) Even though I have worked underwater once before, Paul was very attentive and always communicating with me to check I was comfortable. Then we moved on to the breath holding!!! Oh boy did I get competitive ;)! It was really fun to try and beat my time with each try. Paul gave me some great tips to increase my time- I will beat it next time ;)! We extended the shoot by another 30 minutes and ended on some dance/yoga poses in the bath.

Due to the nature of the shoot, Paul and I were working in relatively close quarters. Paul had no problem wearing a mask which I greatly appreciated. Paul's level of professionalism and respect were absolutely perfect at all times. Honestly, a true professional. Paul made me feel completely comfortable throughout the whole shoot. Above all, the shoot was massively fun and just so different :)! Paul and I were laughing a lot, chatting and joking about inbetween takes. I very much look forward to our next time working together :)!

I would very much recommend anyone to work with Paul. However, I would not recommend this type of shoot to models who are not comfortable with water. Paul does make this crystal clear in his communications. While Paul does have some awesome tips, I would encourage any waterphobes to maybe miss out on this one.

But yes, for any water-lovers like me, you will LOVE this shoot and have a whale of a time ;)

I shot with Paul on a fairly last minute shoot with another model. While things hadn’t quite gone to plan for him earlier in the day, meaning I overlapped with another model (making three of us) - we worked this to our advantage.

In at the deep end (haha) his direction was brilliant and everything was kept safe throughout the shoot and he always ensured I was okay. He was pretty clear in what he wanted and I think we managed to get that which is all you can really ask!

Would love to see the final products, and work with him again :)

Our biggest shoot yet! :D

I’ve shot with Paul more times than I can remember now, and it’s always a ball producing some very different (and creative in it’s own right) material... So when the opportunity arose to do a full day with various other models (including a trio at one stage!) I was massively looking forward to working together again. :)

We worked at my place again this time and it was largely more of the same as what we had done before so we always get straight to it and flow through the sets effortlessly at this stage. The bathroom was prepped ready for the underwater work - and we also had the use of the hot tub this time which we hadn’t done before! Gosh what with all the other models arriving and the new set possibilities, we could have probably done two days worth! :P The outfits were at the ready and we cracked on with the productivity right away: Paul really knows his field within this style so any model who may be planning to shoot with him can wholly rest assured that they have friendly help and guidance if needed. He has a lot of aspects carefully thought out to make it as comfortable an experience as possible for the models - I’m just that stubborn one who is always trying to beat her breath holding record haha, so we barely need to revisit the brief anymore. The rapport is already ready to rock each time!

As the other models arrived we shifted onto duo work, and eventually trio! Getting completely different material with each pair-up and really getting the best out of each little session that was broken up throughout the day. :) It’s actually really fun getting to work and act with other models when shooting with Paul because he really welcomes the input of the models and what they can bring to the shoot in their own posing capacity and personality which is a big part of the expressiveness required. He quite often gives us just a few ideas and will happily allow us to come up with a scenario or idea, or grow the idea further; and it really does make for epic teamwork in every direction. :D The day also goes super quick because you’re really in that zone and just having a blast doing your job which is a massive bonus, and something I feel really fortunate to be able to say about my work.

You couldn’t meet a more well-prepared photographer either - as mentioned earlier, Paul has never stopped learning about ways and means to make the whole job more of a breeze for everyone with underwater shooting... But he’s also savvy as the eye behind the lens and has a great knack for spotting those really nice moments and offering direction if needed. Technically geared up, creatively in-tune and EXTREMELY enthusiastic about what he does. A completely awesome person to work with as a result. :)

Paul is extremely easy going in every sense; each and every shoot I’ve had (or will ever have!) with him is just a non-pressured and totally relaxed session that is done according to me feeling ready and comfortable with each set. He ALWAYS respects a models levels with the perfect etiquette he brings to his shoots which means I can highly recommend him to everyone that needs to know/might be working with him. He’s the nicest person on the planet and a real breeze to team up with in a professional working environment. :) We never fail to have a humongous giggle whilst we work too; the atmosphere is guaranteed to be uplifting and full of laughs on each occasion. I mean this time, at one point there were 3 of us models splashing around in the hot tub on an acted dunking competition... I don’t know how poor Paul isn’t traumatised with the madness haha! He’s such a sweet-natured person!

Whilst the content of Paul's shoots can be quite challenging it was also a lot of fun and the three of us had a good laugh throughout the shoot! Paul is very clear with his direction and makes it super easy to get results! The time flew by and I look forward to working with him again soon!

I had a great shoot with Paul! It was very different to most shoots considering you are under water for most of it but I have no complaints! He explains the best techniques and adds salt water into the bath if needed. I can highly recommend him and would love to work with him again in the future
