Portland Works Studio is an adaptable, spacious photography hire studio located in a stunning Grade II* listed Victorian cutlery works near to the centre of Sheffield.

The aesthetically pleasing space provides the ideal setting for professional, student and amateur photographers to push their creative talents with natural daylight or studio flash lighting (which is included in the hire price).

The space measures 15m x 5.5m (50′ x 18′) with a ceiling height of 2.75m (9′) throughout. You can shoot along it’s length, or for a wider field of view, from the rear door looking towards the side wall of windows giving a throw of 8.5m (28′). We have nine Victorian sash widows to either side of the space which can flood it with daylight or be shuttered to provide a more controlled environment.

We have a secure changing room with full length dressing mirror, clothes rail, steamer, iron etc., fully equipped kitchen and enviable studio heating to keep your models comfortable and looking good. 

We are proud to be associated with Harrison Cameras and to have hosted workshops by Damian Lovegrove, John Clements and Arteh Odjidja, as well as product days with Nikon, Fujifilm, Leica and Panasonic.
