My photography career started almost 10 years ago. The first couple of years I photographed anyone game enough to let me hone my skills on. I was picked up by a media company which I then became a media photographer learning very valuable camera and personality skills (yes I think personality is everything in the game).
After a few years I got, I guess you can say bored with media photography as the stories all became dull and photographing politicians and criminals became mundane. It just didn't tap into my creative desire.
After leaving the media game I started doing a lot of weddings and commercial shoots. After 6 years I have been given the title of "Best Professional Photographer" on the Fraser Coast by a public vote in 2016 and 2017. It doesn't mean much to me but it's still nice to have I guess.
Somewhere there I started to get into video and I am still walking that path today.
I want to go back to my roots and experiment like I was at the beginning. Photographing anyone willing and see what I can create now, with more knowledge and vastly better skills.
My eye is honed, my camera is second nature. I feel I am ready for stage 2.
*side note* I use a Canon 1DX with all L glass.
