Thank you for visiting my profile page. I've been an enthusiastic hobby photographer for about a million years, during which time I've also taken on quite a few semi-pro assignments including portraiture, wedding and commercial product photography - plus a little photojournalism. I'm always in pursuit of the unusual, the quirky, the eye-catching and the unique.

I see photography as a beast with many heads; not only as a means of recording an event, capturing beauty in a landscape or a face, expressing an emotion.....the list goes on - but also for transforming an idea from your imagination into an image that others can share.

I don't subscribe to the philosophy that photography should always be a true and accurate representation of the world we live in - it should also be free to express the world we imagine.This, I believe, is the path to uniqueness.

Whilst every art form has its "rules and conventions" I firmly believe that these rules are for our guidance and not our blind obedience. History is littered with the names of great artists and musicians who broke every rule in the book - that's why we remember them today. Giants like Ludwig van Beethoven and Salvador Dali defied convention and expressed themselves freely. We have that freedom too.

I'm happy to consider most types of assignments for either pay or collaboration. I also welcome criticism and new ideas so please feel free to send a message - I always reply.
