Hi there, I’m a general photographer with a few years experience, now looking to develop portrait and people photography skills.

I’m passionate to develop a broad portfolio of portrait and people photography; I recognise that I am at the beginning of that journey but find that hugely exciting as I see my work in that regard as a ‘blank canvass’ of possibility. I had my first shoot working with a professional model in February 2024 and have been working hard since then to develop my skills and experience.

My first FPI’s were awarded in September 2024, some seven months after my very first shoot with a professional model.

I do have my own ideas and aspirations but wholly recognise the value of collaboration; it’s clear that most people will have more experience than me at present and I’m totally fine with that. I am genuinely receptive to ideas and suggestions.

My style aspirations are somewhat embryonic, however, I know that I’m not drawn to photograph topless or nude, not that there is anything ‘wrong’ with that genre but it’s not currently something I’m looking to shoot. I do like ‘clean’ almost minimalist style images and if it doesn’t sound corny, that capture the beauty and allure of the subject, in whatever way that is expressed. I naturally lean towards classic portraiture but I am open to exploring alternative styles.

I am a mature and all round decent human being, if I may say so myself and have been described as having a relaxed and easy-going manner. I believe my references fairly describe my character and style of working.

I come from a professional background; partnership working based on trust and mutual respect are the cornerstones of my work ethic and I look forward to working with other like minded creatives who share those values.

Although it is a hobby, I am serious about my photography; I have invested greatly and will continue to do so. If I say I will ‘be there’, I will and probably half an hour beforehand. I hate letting people down, so I don’t……a booking is a booking and barring death or some other catastrophic event, I will always turn up. That said, I appreciate there are times when postponement is necessary, e.g. a thunderstorm on a beach shoot (!) and I have the good sense and disposition to go with the flow in those circumstances.
