Attended a Trial Workshop run by Michaelangelo today as he intends to run this as a paying course next year.

We started with a brief discussion on what street photography is, the legal ramifications of taking peoples images in a public place, and some cautionary words about run ins with overzealous security staff in some locations in London.

He offered us two routes for the day - either starting in Trafalgar Square or starting outside the Bank of England.

The consensus was to start at Trafalgar and walk to Leicester Square, Piccadilly Circus, through St James Park, across Horse Guards parade, and over the Embankment bridge to the South Bank.

Michaelangelo had set us a number od tasks - i.e. images that we should look out for.

All in all, a very pleasant afternoon with plenty of opportunities for street images.

I can highly recommend Michaelangelo and his course for anyone who wants to get started in Street photography or those that have already got a grasp but don't know London particularly well.

Highly recommended

Attended a trial workshop involving a planned photoshoot route about cental London starting at Trafalgar Square and finishing at Waterloo station some four hours later!

Well organised, great route and relaxed comfortable event, I really enjoyed my time on this event and Michaelangelo was nothing but supportive & helpful!

There was a handout covering the legal aspects of street photography and you could wish for a better location to shoot.

In summary I can recommend Michaelangelo as totally professional and a pleasure to work with, if you get the chance give one of his workshops a try!! Thank you.

I met Michaelangelo for an outdoor natural light workshop. We had communicated beforehand regarding my current knowledge, and the areas I wanted to learn more about. Michaelangelo took this into account as well as reading my PP profile, and tailored the session to suit me. He booked a model, chose a great location and off we went.

Michaelangelo is very knowledgeable and approachable. He taught me different techniques, then allowed me time to try them out, and viewed the photos after to give constructive criticism.

Nothing was rushed, and I learnt a lot.

Thank you for a great day. I look forward to attending a workshop for outdoor lighting in the autumn.

If you want to learn more about shooting outdoors, I highly recommend Michaelangelo.

I attended an off-camera flash workshop run by Michaelangelo today.

Michaelangelo sent round very clear information prior to the workshop, covering all the practicalities for the day, and he arrived on time with lots of lighting equipment. He took us through all of the equipment, explaining each item in detail, and he explained different ways of using off-camera strobes when mixed with ambient light outdoors. There was a lot of information to take in, but Michaelangelo also gave us 6 pages of notes to take away - which will be a very helpful reference document.

A local model, RoxieH, then joined us and we had plenty of time to use Michaelangelo's equipment and put into practice what we'd learnt. There were only 4 of us in the workshop, so we each had enough time with Roxie.

This was a really good workshop, particularly for beginners like me, with lots of information. It was also very good value for money. I'd definitely recommend Michaelangelo's workshops to any other photographers.

I attended the off-camera flash workshop ran by Michaelangelo at the weekend.

Initial contact was via Michaelangelo's website https://www.bymichaelangelo.co.uk/workshops-mentoring, Michaelangelo kept in contact via both email and text message in the lead up to the workshop, a week before he sent detailed joining instructions.

The workshop took place in a local woodland that provided lots of lighting variation, prefect for this type of workshop.

Michaelangelo started out providing us with some reference material and explaining the more technical aspects of off-camera flash, as well as introducing us to the various light sources, modifiers and ancillary equipment.

After the theory and technical part of the workshop our model RoxieH arrived. Roxie arrived with a large number of looks and options and between the 4 of us students we managed a number of looks and lighting setups under the watchful eye and coaching of Michaelangelo. We all had plenty of time with Roxie and manged to capture some wonderful images.

I found the experience very enjoyable and good value for money. Michaelangelo was very knowledgeable and patient with his instruction, I highly recommend the workshop.

I attended one of Michaelangelo's creative, Autumn off camera lighting workshops today, on location in a woodland and heath setting. The shoot was great fun, informative and enlightening and as a bonus I also got some wonderful photos of the model for the day Verity-Rose. Michaelangelo is knowledgeable and makes the session fun as well as easy to understand.

Had my second shoot with Michaelangelo and it was so fun! I hadn't seen him in a while as I was away but we picked up right where we left off and the shoot just flew by.

We shot in a poppy field, he made sure I was comfortable with everything and he was very clear about what he wanted to achieve with the photos. His direction was useful and he was happy to hear my ideas too!

Hoping to shoot with him again soon!

Had a shoot with Michael a few months ago, doing some fashion themed shoots. Pre comms were excellent and the shoot was a real laugh, Michael is such a talented photographer with a background in wedding photography. On the day of the shoot he explained he had a lot of work on and that it would be a couple of months before seeing the photos. it was worth the wait, totally love them :-)

Happy to highly recommend and supply references upon request if asked

I had a shoot in the sunshine yesterday with Michaelangelo after rescheduling our first one due to typical British weather!

Michaelangelo was really great fun to shoot with, he made sure I was comfortable walking through fields etc and had some great ideas on how to use the location to our advantage!

Unfortunately our original idea of the poppy field had to be tweaked after we realised the poppy fields had been removed, however Michaelangelo was really creative and had some great on the spot improvisation for the rest of the shoot!

Fun to work with, easy to talk to and I can’t wait to see the shots! 100% recommended :)

Today I worked with michaelangelo on a winter fashion/portrait shoot. We started at 9:30am and finished around 3:30pm.

Michaelangelo was extremely professional and very kind. His talent in photography is clearly there as his pictures were clear but mostly beautiful. It really captured me as a model and I look forward to seeing the end results.

I would highly recommend him and I hope to work with him again soon.
