Phil has a number of years experience, enjoys walks with his dogs and a good Ale or malt whisky..

Bloody Hell,  I detest pretentious third-person diatribe so, in as few words as possible;

as the alias might suggest, my main photographic interest is attempting to combine an interesting landscape or environment with the beauty of a model.  That does not mean that I only shoot female models although male models tend to be more chronologically-gifted.

My far-better-half Maxine and I often shoot together - there are, in our opinion, good reasons for doing so but if this is in any way not acceptable to yourself then please do feel free to make it known during our initial correspondence - it is not necessarily a deal-breaker for me/us.

Contrary to the 'norm' chaperones (even very very tall ones from 70's television westerns) are more than welcome - whatever makes our models most comfortable.

You will soon see that whilst willing to break the "photography rules" where appropriate, I am something of a stickler for traditional standards in composition and I really dislike lazy photography where there is no regard to composition or background clutter at all.

If I "like" one of your images, or your portfolio it's because I genuinely think that it has something and fits my own preferred 'rules' in terms of viewpoint, composition of subject, use of appropriate depth of field and so many other pedantic things.  Please do not feel that you have to then try and find something here to like in order to reciprocate.

All messages are welcome including anything that would in the wider PP world be considered unsolicited critique. If that were not the case, then I should not post here.

Amongst my many issues are a fear of Sharks, heights (or rather edges), and needles as well as a distinct aversion of those having no regard for homophones or the English language generally so please do not "message me" enquiring as to whether I own a well, or to talk about "payed" work, especially of course if you are a Great White.

Experience

Maxine and I are involved in photography and video for weddings, corporate, conference work etc. on an international basis - ooooh!  There are links to our photography and video websites in the appropriate section here.

I also run the occasional specialist photography workshop day. No, not that sort of specialist but mock-wildlife - generally Owls and Raptors, proper cliched "bird on stick" stuff working with a long term friend who is an accomplished falconer.

Club work

We have previous experienced in arranging and managing shoots for a local camera club but have recently parted ways and are in the midst of creating a new group for folk that wish to actually get out and take images rather than just sit around talking about images they took in 1943.  Any form of group shoot is already akin to juggling greased monkeys, so reliability and punctuality are of paramount importance as is a model's willingness and ability to provide good communication.

When modelling for me/us/our group, you will be treated with the utmost respect and courtesy and, even when (rarely) shooting to nude, with regard for your modesty.

Models please do not leave positive references for the wrong reasons, ie for the purposes of reciprocation.  If for any reason at all you do not feel that one is appropriate then please do drop me a message to let me know why the shoot was a disappointment - we can each only improve with genuine feedback.

Somehow I have a handful of FPI's - I put it down to my choice of models, or luck.
