I ran a model drop-in day at Penguin, and can strongly recommend.

It’s an excellent facility, recently improved, clean, tidy and larger than most. Expect multiple props and set opportunities, natural light and a wide choice of strobes, LEDs and modifiers. Steve and James could not have been friendlier and more helpful, and also had good COVID-19 precautions set up on site.

With the huge bonus that you can actually park pretty much outside and it’s only a 10 minute run to the local station, I look forward to my next session at Penguin!

This was my second shoot at Penguin, this time with Princess Carly who I had worked with several times before.

It was good to see that James and Steve were taking Covid-19 seriously and had provided a good range of PPE and marked the studio out for social distancing. They had also thoughtfully provided a TV with an HDMI input and a long, long lead to allow Carly and I to review our images from the back of the camera at a safe distance – invaluable!

Other than that, the shoot went well with Steve on hand to help with the backgrounds, lighting and props when required. Carly and I both enjoyed our visit to Penguin and we came away with some very nice images.

Second time at Penguin and all I can say it's wow.

James was the perfect host, the studio is many stunning sets, amazing natural light, fab changing area. It was warm, tidy and clean. What more could you ask for.

Had my first shoot at Penguin Studio today – a 4 hour shoot with Theresa Louise.

The studio was spacious, very well equipped, clean and warm and came with James who was very helpful and provided assistance as requested throughout the shoot.....and tea! The dual background roll setups each with their own flashes saved time and effort, there were plenty of props to hand and the two large windows provided plenty of natural light – even on a dull, damp Wednesday afternoon.

Theresa and I were both impressed with the studio and wouldn’t hesitate to recommend it for a shoot.

My long overdue first shoot at Penguin Stu6ios was a great success. Booking the studio was a snap, and they asked if there was particular setup required to be configured for when I arrived. These little touches help you get the most from your studio time. It helps that the rates are really good too, especially for longer shoots.

Steve was on site during the shoot, but kept himself out of the way in the office unless we needed help with specific items of the studio lighting kit they have. The studio is really well equipped with a good range of softboxes, strip boxes and lights. It's pretty large too with space for two side-by-side background rolls plus a window light bed set across the width of the studio.

I hope it's not many months until I'm back in the studio again.

2 more shoots at Penguin since my last reference, both with experienced models Tanya and Amber Foxxx who particularly enjoyed working there and as always, nothing was too much trouble for the owners Steve and James who were on hand if needed but were equally happy to disappear. (And make tea/coffee)

Very reasonably charges, excellent equipment, and ***** Highly recommended.

My 2nd shoot at Pen6uin and it was even better than the first one.

More props and sets than you can shake a Nikon at, clean Loos (Very important, first class lighting equipment that is set up and works first time, either Steve or James on hand but completely unobtrusive and everything set up on arrival just like you asked for.

We were warmly welcomed,and Nee_Naa my model for the day, who much prefers to be outdoors, but has been to many studios, commented cheerfully on the extent of the space and the pleasant atmosphere.

It was the hottest day of the year and we kept going for pretty much 6 hours, with an excellent supply of hot and cold bevvies.

Rates are extremely reasonable, the owners friendly and very approachable, and I cannot hesitate to recommend Pen6uin Studios.

Nothing was too much trouble, and the day went well.

Very enjoyable afternoon at Becky Golder's Studio day at Penguin Stu6ios. It was my first time at the studio and was very impressed with the facilities packed in to an incredibly well equiped and laid out space. James was on hand to assist and offer great hospitality too.

A great experience, captured some great images too. I hope to be back in this studio very soon.

I had a request from a client for a rush shoot for some large product Photography for a Magazine deadline (they had been let down by another studio), having used penguin studios before, I contacted Steve and James were quick to respond and were more than willing for me to come down and shoot, they even had the lighting equipment setup ahead of time as requested. the space and atmosphere is very relaxed which allowed me to work comfortably within my timeframe. With an added bonus of assisting throughout the shoot. For all my studio work I will be using their services as my first point of contact. highly recommend!!

I had my first shoot with Steve from Penguin Studios on Saturday 1st June. It is a large, clean, well equiped studio with various sets, equipment and props! There is a bed for boudoir, fireplace which I loved! And two set ups with various back drops - It was nice to shoot against a deep red for a change! We shot a range of looks from Cheesecake Pin up to Femme Fatale and lots of lingerie of different styles. The studio has everything you need and I will keep it in mind for future bookings with other photographers too. I hope to shoot here with Steve again soon. Definately check this studio out!

I arranged to shoot with Mati Matilda at this fine establishment.

It was great to meet up with Steve, who was attentive when needed, and kept out of the way while Mati and I went on our merry way.

We didn't use any of the flash elements simply because I wanted to use natural light for the shoot.

Penguin Stu6ios is set up nicely to cover both. I can see this venue being very useful in the cooler and darker months. But this time around I appreciated being able to achieve the results I needed simply with the natural light on offer. Just how I like it.

Definitely recommend this studio to all models and photographers. Mati and I will make some images available for Steve's and James's use in the near future.

I had my first shoot at Penguin Studios yesterday and the experience was first class.

Steve was on site early and everything was ready to go when I arrived with a large selection of lighting options on line.

There is also natural South light if you want it.

It was a pleasant surprise how well equipped this very new studio is, with half a dozen “instant sets” in place and many more easily arranged.

Steve and James could not have been more helpful.

Highly recommended.

We had a pregnancy/maternity shoot with Adam at the new penguin studios! The owner is very friendly and professional! Not only that the studio has everything you need to create great images, even has electric backdrops which is awesome! It has a bedroom setting, lounge setting with a lovely fireplace and of course some props of penguins! We look forward to coming back and definitely using the studio again! Thank you for having us and we look forward to seeing more of the usage of your studio!

I had a shoot at penguin studios at the weekend! The studio is so nice, has everything you need from backdrops, bed, to a living room set up! The natural light in the studio is amazing as well. The studio owner is so lovely, easy to get along with and nice to chat to. He was always on hand to help out. Highly recommend!

My first time shooting at Penquin Studio with VisionsA. Impressive studio, very spaces and lots of natural light, Steve is friendly and great host. I am hoping to work there again in the future.

Bonus is very close to where I actually live. Highly recommend to any photographers who looking for big open space and lots of ideas to creat there.

Visited penguin studios today and was great! Lots of sets to use and props.
