St Joan of Arc was executed on 30th May 1431.
She lead the French armies against the English during the 100 years war.
She had a vision at the age of 13 which she shared with the King of France. The King believed she was lead by a Devine being and sent her to the battlefields.
After a number of victories her name was known throughout France and the English feared her on the battlefield.
Joan was fearless. However she would not fight but she held her banner and lead with passion.
Joan was burnt alive at the stake on 30th May 1431
